They are probably wishing this QuakeCon video would disappear.

I just saw this for the first time. Yeah.. wow..

Looks like a lot of developement to actually make this like a TES game. Lot of time put in already at the time of this video... much to get sidelined for the new B2P and console launch. Damn, such a sad thing too, if things like spell crafting were in (and smooth) this game would be off the hook and have plenty of paying customers.

Did you think all of that was going to come out within 6 months of Quakecon? I'm a bit confused. They're working on this stuff. It takes time, particularly if you want it to be good. And, it's probably best if they don't release the whole Justice System, Champion System, and Spell Crafting System, all at the same time, or even within a month or two of each other. Can you imagine the havoc of trying to balance all of that at once? Even releasing the Imperial City at the same time as any of the other new systems sounds pretty rough to balance, even just because of the amount of resources and focus it takes to make sure something new is working well.

A lot of the new content in the quake con video has been talked about before the pc launch of eso.

Imperial city was something new and meant to be out around December 2014.

That's what a few others and I have been wondering about, seeing as they have had longer than 12 months to make content.

Maybe at the time of Quakecon they believed that stuff, maybe they were
actually working on that. But now they have only two priorities:
    1. Get more money(by selling to consoles)
    2. Get more money(through cash shop)

They announced there won't be any update until after console launch.
That means June. And they will wait until most of them played through it at least
once. When they cry for more stuff they will ad the first new zone to the shop.
I guess we can expect to be invited to buy our new content, we paid for with our subs, in august. Then next one in october and then the big christmas
update with santa hats for everyone...

They mean update 6 will come out for pc then console games come out.

And don't expect anew update 7 before consoles.

New content is supposed to come out 3 months at the min after consoles

Why does employees at Director level says things like "we heard it at places like reddit".
You have *** OFFICIAL forum. Why you support ANYTHING (specialy reddit) but not your own forum ?

Because the people on the official forum are the people that they are already getting money from. The people on reddit are the people the are not yet getting money from

Guess who they're concerned with listening to.

Good thing is that fall 2016-2017 TES VI will be out, I guess.

    Nope, Fallout 4.

We've just had Skyrim so a Fallout game will be next and then Elder Scrolls again.

Just as the other people have stated, I wouldn't have high expectations at this point. Their focus now is to milk the whales with the cash shop. I have been through this dog and pony show way too many times with other MMOs. Are you guys ready for some gambling boxes? (Plays Looney Tunes theme song)
"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

Well, i did conviced them to remove natural spell damage and replace it with spell damage gained from Stuffs. So it seems they sometimes listed to off forums.

They MUST be lore friendly... so they will be called Sheogorath Crates.

I was waiting for them to be announced already, BioWare are quite proud of their crates and I can;t blame them ... people are spending a fortune on them.

If they aren't in at crown shop launch then I give them a month before they start adding them.

    Gamble boxes will come eventually.

I actually feel bad for Mr. Sage and whoever else was with him in making the game. I am sure going B2P/F2P was not his dream for the game.

Hopefully the game wont fail terribly.

    Agree fully.

Anyone who works in business knows that the top boss in charge for a company (ZoS is a branch of Zenimax Media) knows every business model and roadmap the company have. Matt Firor reports to Zenimax Media board. Every business call and plans starts and ends with Mr Firor.

We can only speculate who in ZoS knows what, but my money is that Mr Sage had no part in the Pay-to-Play or Cash store. Notice how open Sage is every time he answers questions live. You can almost see Mr Firor kicking his leg saying "STFU! We cant tell them that!".

Mr Firor is required to have business plans and ongoing reports to Zenimax Media. It's not possible that he "didn't know".

I'll pay for the Imperial City if that means we get it faster.

You already did. That was called your "subscription".

I know that nowadays that's an abstract concept, but once upon a time, people paid in advance for promised content to be delivered. I believe that in those ancient times, people tra..tro...no, trusted the developers to keep their word.

Of course, those were barbaric times. In the more civilised present, we can pay for what we want and for more power. We don't have to spend time to enjoy the game anymore, that would be nonsense.

Sorry for this, but seeing this video again makes me bitter.

    You feel sorry for him?

He was in charge at the time the terrible design decisions were made, including VR, that were rejected en masse by the playerbase .. only the small minority who now have VR14s were happy with it .. and it was that rejection that caused ZOS to abandon VR, and directly lead to the current uproar over the CP system, not least because if the 180 U-turn they did over 'tacking XP' without any discussion with the players, only commenting on it when that decision reversal was a fait acomplis.

I have zero sympathy with Sage, I do sympathise with many on the development team who simply did as they were told, but those whose 'vision' included the abject failure of VR and especially who chose to renege on an oft-repeated promise without murmur made their own beds.
