All costumes change my character's (facial) appearance

I didn't get crowns b/c of the bug, but was able to preview items. All the costumes alter the face of my character (making him way uglier). For this reason alone I wouldn't buy any costumes even if they were awesome.

But, they are not awesome. With all the assets you guys have in the game I was really disappointed in the way some of these were put together. There are much cooler looks you could have gone with for almost every single costume you put on there in the bundles, including color choices in some cases. If you want to sell a lot of this stuff I would recommend more focus on how good they look in addition to making sure they don't change a character's existing appearance designs.

Maybe the preview works wrong? I've buy 8 costumes and none of them change my face in any way

hmm, could be, I didn't have a way to test a difference since I couldn't buy anything

anyone able to try one then the other and see if it has any effect?

edit: still not good if it only happens on preview, I wouldn't chance it if I was paying for these costume that they would have that effect

There is a known issue where costumes are unintentionally changing your facial appearance, which we're working on fixing.

Any idea if that fix will also help Sorc's who use bound armor but hide the helm?

Cool, thanks @ZOS_GinaBruno I had taken screen shots that I was getting ready to upload to show you guys, but if you know the issue then It's probably not needed.

I did take a few screen shots of some mock-up costumes that IMO blow anything you guys put together for your store away, this stuff only took me ten minutes to make, so it's not like I even went back and forth on ideas, I just threw this stuff together quick.

Not saying everyone will love everything, but the stuff in the store now is a bit weak. I would also think that an akaviri costume pack would be hot (especially if you got the colors right) where there was a light/medium/heavy set of the pvp armors someone could wear as a costume.

It's not just the facial features that change..the wedding dress made my slight Imperial female appear like her upper torso was a cross of Dolly Parton and Tom Brady. Except there was an unlikely amount of upper decolletage compared to bottom. Chesty.

I thought we could dye costumes. If that is the case, does original color really matter? Except for marketing value, of course.

I didn't get any crowns so I couldn't fully test, but when I previewed the chef costume on one of my fatter characters, he seemed to lose about 60 pounds and gained quite a bit of muscle.

My brother, who did get crowns, said he couldn't dye the costumes.

In the case of the costumes looking lame, all of the "class" ones are pulled from existing NPCs, which is a cute idea. I've no doubt more costumes will come in time, so keep suggesting them, because I like yours so far.

Ah, well that makes sense Circuitous. Probably just quicker and easier to port a bunch of npc outfits in to get things started. Hopefully they do expand on it. I'd be glad to spend a day just creating costume designs honestly lol, it's fun and pretty easy. So call me zos.

Actually I imagine their decisions on which costumes to include came from a mix of people begging for those specific styles (in the case of Naryu's outfit) to just wanting to fit with a theme (the Tree-Minder outfit). You can see who each costume represents by hovering over the individual icons in the packs.

No doubt they'll be putting up more and more as time goes on. And maybe eventually they'll put up a Build-Your-Own Costume and everyone will lose their minds.

The costumes change your face and your body significantly, but logging out and logging back in fixes the bug. Still incredibly unnerving.

It is a bit off topic but does the sorcerer ability Bound Armor still change the appearance even with other gears or costumes on in PTS? If so, what is the point of buying any of the costumes as they won't make any difference with Bound Armor toggled on.

I found an epic bug with costume previews.

Apparently the Jester's Outfit and Wedding Dress are hilariously bugged if you happen to be wearing a Guild Tabard when you try them on...

Did anyone else have the issue of costumes becoming unequipped if you use a wayshrine? I only got 5 mins on the server this morning before work so I don't know if it is every costume or just the chef one that I had on. Bugged it anyway.
