Disguises In Collections

I keep all of the Disguises I find; they are nice for RP. When I looked at the Disguise section in the Collection though I noted only those that are awarded are present; this strikes me as a gross oversight. Am I the only one who feels this way? Has this been brought up before?

    I agree it's disappointing.

They said in ESO live that because disguises are quest related interactables currently makes it difficult to include then in the collections window but 'they are discussing it'
    Same with trophies.

    I agree.

In addition to disguises, trophies (unique quest rewards) should also be treated as collectibles and not take up inventory space.

So, the collections interface should have 3 tabs: Costumes/disguises; Pets; Trophies.

Yes, I would like to see this in Update 6 or 6.1.

Yeah, I don't feel it currently offers much in term of saving space. I have maybe 5 pets and a few costumes. I have over 40 disguises and trophies.

100% agree! I don't know the details of their costuming back-end, but maybe if they unlock a "costume" version on your account when you pick up the actual disguise item, you could just get rid of the disguise later. I'll test how costumes and disguises interact later today, and see if there's any potential!

Another thing that would be great is if we could get costume versions of individual armor items. RPers currently have to use various armor pieces to simulate clothing, and even with the stealable clothing coming in with 1.6, it would be nice to have that as an option that doesn't clunk up my inventory.

this sounds like a great, and actually implementable idea to me.
forward that suggestion for integrating disguises into the costume system to the developers, pretty please?

This sounds easy enough for them to implement to me. Furthermore, the 'costume' version wouldn't have the same disguise effect as the 'disguise' version, so you couldn't abuse this system to make a certain quest easier on another character.

I read a comment from ZoS somewhere saying disguises weren't included "Yet". Potentially meaning they intend to add it later. Maybe it was in the patch notes. I hope so. Trophies should be added as well. It's a shame that you have to delete all these neat little trinkets just to make room.

I'd be wary with saying something is easy to implement. Game design is one thing, but code is something you have no idea about. The culprit is likely that if you go back to the area where you got the disguise, you can still lose it.

That doesn't mean I'm against the idea. I'm definitely for it. I think instead of offering mediocre green BoE, you should get the disguise offered to you as a legitimate costume. I mean, no one is using any of the quest rewards beyond level 20 as it currently stands, unless you're hard pressed for gold or it's jewelry.

I'd also not put too much weight in that "yet" comment. I hope they figure it out. But there have been a number of things I've been hoping for that have been scrapped that were once talked about. Mostly anything that is an aesthetic usually gets pushed aside. I mean, I lose my beard and facial hair when I put a helmet on, you'd think this would be something in at least a higher priority level , but it hasn't been since I started playing in April.

Trophies I hope they move to collections. Disguises don't hold your breath. Those will be purchasable costumes in the crown store now.

I really hope they implement a far more robust system for costuming than just disguises, though. :-/

I wasn't really expecting them to go into collections as they allow people to have certain looks without buying that look in the crown store + the fact they are quest related items. But it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see them in there.

I think the fact that matts stack to 200 and our bag space applies from mounts no matter what we ride solves a lot of the inventory troubles however.

I see your point regarding the code. But then why not simply move disguises and trophies to the "quest items" tab? I only ever go there when a quest implies reading a book or note, but it doesn't count towards inventory limit and probably wouldn't mess with the code for losing disguises when detected.

I'd still prefer to have them in Collections, though.

I agree. I just don't know what the workload is on that. I think the idea has a lot of merit and should be considered. But if they aren't including this in the initial phase, there has to be a reason.
