Predictions regarding first piece of DLC.

I am curious to know what people think the first piece of DLC will be and when it will drop. Of course this is all conjecture, but it should be a fun exercise.

I for one will go on record with my belief that the thieves guild and dark brotherhood quest lines will be the first DLC, and probably be there day one of the console release. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if there was a special edition available for consoles that included it.

Probably this, or maybe around a month after console launch.
Then I think it's safe to assume we'll see something around Christmas time aswell, possibly Orsinium.

Lol you people are cute. There won't be any DLC untill months away from console release. We will get one DLC before christmas and that will be the only content update we get this year. All other updates will be about cash shop/balancing things. I can't believe how guilible some people still are

Dont know what it will be, probably something we got promised while we beta sub tested for them but they never released.

Time? I say 9-12 months from now. Unless they had it lined up already. In which case a month after console and then the next dlc after that 9-12 months after. Either way the DLC will be snail pass released soon enough.

As I stated in another thread, the Console version is release the week before the big E3 Convention, I really think that the Console version launches on June 9th and during E3 they show a trailer for the upcoming DLC that will be released 2-3 months after launch. I doubt we will see day one DLC outside of smaller Crown Store items.

E3 will be a big stage for them to show what DLC is coming down the pipe. My thoughts are a big PVE area in September and another one in December.

    I disagree,

the fact that you can copy templates of our existing character over to console shows they are not blocking characters that have already progressed. they will want to make money asap once we got "tamriel Unlimited"

i for one believe the content is ready to go. i to believe the first DLC will be thieves guild/dark brotherhood because there is no new visual content that needs adding (zones/astheic design etc), only quests and possible skill lines. i also don't believe they wanted to "test" the justice system (thus excluding the PVP portion of it). i think the PVP aspect of the Justice system will come with the Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood DLC.

i would bet that the Orc areas are ready to go as well.

oh yeah, they also mentioned in one of the Live videos that all of the new content being added later as DLCs will be accessible by ANY level character.

if that isnt clear enough i dont know what is.

I would giggle with excitement if it were the Imperial City. Something that could add to the PvP aspects.

True though. They did state that future DLC is a ways away. "After console release dies down" I believe was the quote. They're going to have their hands full for the next while I imagine.

You can see in the pts files pics of imperial city and Wrothgar. If you see on the Wrothgar map there are dev notes and there could be a raid in it. So I do not think these are as far off as people think.

my Question is we wont have access to the Crowns monthly if we drop our sub or DLC Content ... but it says something about still being able to purchase the DLC Content and being able to play if you have purchased it ?

think it will be a lot cheaper to purchase it ?

Honestly I played FFXI for years on Xbox 360 and PC and I had to pay for 2 12 dollar Subs and Xbox live this kinda stuff don't matter to me I just want to see a possible cheaper solution incase they get really crooked wit this crown store. I refuse to play a game that trys to get us to purchase tid-bits to get ahead.

I think we'll get our first DLC in the latter part of the summer - after console release. Lots of console kiddies on summer break will chew through the existing content fast and will be ready to shell out more of their parents' cash for the DLC so they can finish that before they go back to school. We'll probably get a second DLC package just in time for winter holidays.

Remember it's not about PC players anymore it's all about the console players.

Besides they've already working on Imperial City and some of the other content - it's not a stretch to think they'll turn their attention to finishing up one DLC package already in progress after console release is ready to go.
Happy All the Holidays To You and Yours!

Orsinium before the end of September (on PTS)

They need Orsinium and Clockwork City before then, if they keep people waiting until September they won't have anyone left.

I know they've said content will slow down, and nobody wants incomplete content if they pay for it, but September is far too long to keep us waiting.

Wrothgar sometime this year. It will be for console players what Craglorn was for us (hopefully improved, ZOS must have learned something from their mistakes, right? ...right.)

Imperial City has been confirmed finished and playable in dev builds for a while now and was supposed to be in 1.6 but was pushed by justice system/crown store.

Thieves guild/DB quests are confirmed to be in development by the writing team on the last ESO live.
We've seen wrothgar/orsinium playable with lots of dev description of quests and NPC's and plenty of hints of it in the PTS build.

Murkmire is in some stage of development but not as far along as orsinium.

Spellcrafting and other "systems" are confirmed to be not in development due to focus on zones/adventure content.

We've also seen early development of Clockwork City and some other zone(possibly in elseweyr) in ESO live flyby shots.

Champion system phase 4 is unclear but makes the most sense to launch with imperial city as the first champion "season"(DLC) and the justice system PvP possibly with theives guild/Db quests.

So 6 months from now when console launch hits we'll likely see Imperial City/Champion Phase 4 as the first or second DLC,Thieves Guild and DB/Justice PvP, Wrothgar as the first 3 DLC before 2016.

They've got 6 months of development time and 26 work weeks left in the year after console launch and half of the first 3 DLC is already done now so it's completely feasible to get 3 big DLC's before year's end.

I don't expect to see Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild for a long time. Highly doubtful we will see them this year.

Cheaper for me anyway. Those two are the only bits of content I want to see so I won't need to sub until they come out.

What we'll see is stuff like Craglorn. Remember playing Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and even Skyrim and hearing all those tales about Craglorn?

    No.... me neither.

They will probably add more stuff like that before remembering it's an Elder Scrolls game and adding stuff that's been central to those games for years.

    No.... me neither.

Craglorn = province in east Hammerfell. Just look at a map of Tamriel, see where you have Elinhir and Dragonstar? Yup, that's Craglorn.

And it hasn't appeared in any other Elder Scrolls game nor has it had so much as a mention.

Pointing out where it is on the map doesn't magically make it appear in every other game.

Whereas we're still waiting on Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild, things that are a central part of Elder Scrolls.

Most providences never use their name anyway in the elder scrolls series since the name changes overtime look at reaper's march. So that why Craglorn was not mention but the area has been mention before in elder scrolls since the city of Dragonstar has been mention and Elinhir has been mention as well. The area is also well known for the Dragonstar Arena. So yeah it no some place they put in the game.

They already anounced everything. No need to make "predictions".
Did you not see the live stream "all about tamriel unlimited" ?

In short, we'll have the first DLC released 2 or 3 months after the console release. It will be Whrothgar, MurkMire and the 4 others they've shown in that stream.
Perhaps if they are late, we'll not see al of them at once, but that's pretty much all we'll get.

The imperial city, it is unknown if it will be a DLC or not, but it will come in 1.7. We know from the livestream and from the reddit AUA that all updates have been delayed to let the "game breath" so it will be at best q4 2015 or q1 2016.

The Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild are known to be DLCs but have no ETA. The earliest we'll see them is alongside or after 1.7.

As for spell crafting and the PvP component of the justice system, that's either "something we'd still like to see in the game" or "if/when it is implemented...blabla... it's hard to balance".
So don't count on those until q2-q3 2016 at best. if they even are implemented.

I know one thing. They release a DLC I cant mess around in with my VR characters in a new zone Ill be upset. The group only people got craglorn, upper craglorn, vet dungeons and a TON of other stuff. Time for the people who enjoy casual PVE to have a new zone at VR level 10+. From what I gather all areas will scale to your level (how I dont know) so maybe Im worried about nothing.

Just seriously who here bothers with PVE quests in craglorn? Nobody? Thats what I thought. Also its too complicated anyways. Everyone has to be on the same point in the long drawn out quest line. That whole area needs a revamp.
