1 guy and me killed him rather easy yesterday, not sure how to explain it. Couple of times actually. We basically dealt some unblockable dmg to him and he went down as quickly as anyone else.

    what counts as unblockable damage?

Sorcerer Daedric Curse was my main offense, we stack two of those and it's very decent damage, then endless fury + streak etc.

Edit: Oh, and I'm guilty of using soul assault too. :)

Petrify, templar's shards and streak are all cc'ing through block. Fear can also go through block but it's not really a factor against this type of build.

Petrify is completely broken right now. With a decent and rapid rotation you can permanently CC your opponent because they can't gain immunity because the petrify resets on damage taken making it near impossible to break free and gain the immunity. Immoveable is sadly a must against this type of play otherwise you'll be frustrated.

I think that gimmicking is the only way to beat this guy if he's in tank mode.

I was able to get to 53k Health last night. It's possible, but it seems pointless

I am okay with the possibility of giving up the ability to kill people entirely to gain insane survivabilty. Why even be a pvp tank if people can still twoshot you?

The final bolt of lightning staff heavy attack is a projectile pretty sure unless they changed it in 1.6. Anyone that has played a tank in 1.5 or before knows what that means. 10-11k heal each time on 1.6. Your heavy attack probably isn't doing has much meaningful damage as you think it is.

That is not an improvement, it's just another ridiculous build that can now exist that was not possible before. People that tank a lot AND can kill you in a split second will continue to exist. An IF that build actually has 21k stamina then again, he might be able to deal decent damage to you.

I think this is possible on live if what I have heard some claim is true. But my reply to that thread is the same as to this one. So what?
Everyone is focused on the ability to match or exceed other players in a direct fight. This isn't how you win Cyrodill, you win by tactically taking and defending keeps.

That´s why you should use the Set.. 1k Heavy Attacks on Live atm without any Problem.
If you like you could use Resto Attack instead.. good dmg, not blockable and no projectile ;)

    Just a little theorycrafting here.

That will work for a little while granted he doesn't use a heal that scales off of his health *cough*DB*cough* but stave heavy attacks will be bashable soon according to Jess.

Bash->wrecking blow (50% extra damage after interrupt Champ passive. Think it's a 30pt one too.). Also, gearing to fight one person or build is probably not the best strategy. I'd assume that well rounded itemization and builds perform better most of the time.

Well, the question was about what dmg count as unblockable, i think i answered that.
Im a NB, i don´t need Heavy Attacks to give a *** about block :)

If he can't do damage and put everything into surviving then it's not that big a deal IMO. If people build something that is mostly useless and just a novelty toward one thing then so be it.

I've seen the same complaints on the NB sap build - friend of mine stacked every healing bonus he could get and it impossible to kill if there is a group around him b/c he can just sap away. But that's all he can do. He can't really kill anyone, or do anything else raid wise, just sit there and sap groups. If the group goes away and just one guy fights him, he's dead. But because players can't just immediately kill him with the 'pile on' effect of pvp they cry about it.

If he's that tough, use some ground effects to do damage that can't be blocked -- they are even thinking of making more ground related damage not blockable, so give feedback on which powers aren't working. If you have a NB handy - You could also try fear to make him drop a block or summon shades to do more stamina drain (and pets if sorc).

Blocking however is much more expensive now than prior to 1.6, so he's probably dumping jewelry enchants and everything into it, so if you do find a way around it, even in the slightest, he'll be screwed.

If he has 78% block cost reduction then there will be a diminished return from the glyphs that isn't worth the slots. Unless that's changed it would be useless.

Permanent blockers like this will be decent for group PvP with the new guard ability. It's a bit expensive however stats are in no shortage as we've seen already.

Also, fear doesn't drop block. Feared blockers can just keep blocking but they walk in a different direction. All you're doing is just relocating them lol. Even the best burst NB can't break a perma blocker if they are intent on just playing defense. We have tried and tested this with some of the best NB in the game.

Petrify, streak and shards are the best way to counter defensive players because they cc through block. Gimmicky sure but it's also extremely effective.

Twisting Path (every 0.5sec Stamina drain on PTS) + Shadow Image + Animation-Cancel (Light Attack, Skill, Bash)

Trust me, it will drain your Stamina to zero.
