Magicka nightblades in 1.6

Now that ambush and several other morphs have been changed to stamina builds, and with light armor nerfs, will dual wield or 1h/s magicka nightblades be even viable in pvp anymore? Are there any working builds?

That is not correct. Also, when you play as a magicka based Nightblade, you don't use your weapon as much, so you rely on your skills for burst damage. You can kill most people with a combo of skills from stealth, with a restoration staff on the second bar of course. Araxleon✭✭✭✭✭I already figured it out.
1. its a different play style
2. balance wise we arent on the top anymore in terms of damage magicka wise we are equal if not weaker to sorcs in 1.6 but I need more testing they seem to be the only one to really do massive damage on me stopping me from going offensive (but I might just need to man up and go offensive lol)
3. Destro staff is your best choice ;P why destro? because spell pen + stamina mangment you wil need to use ur stam for rolling and blocking as a magicka build so a physical weapon is not recommended (only bow for long range stam return)
I have a legendary sword and shield I have run for FOREVER and I also had a destro staff for PVE but the sword and shield isnt good for pvp magicka builds anymore.

in what sense? Im just saying whats best as a magicka build but anything is possible.
though people thinking that they can just use the other morphs of ambush and suprise attack and play like before are wrong it doesnt work good.0 -

Sure if they are on horseback. Or standing around picking their nose. Otherwise good luck bursting and killing most people when they just shield block + cast. Or bolt escape + stun. Or spam blazing shield + instant heal. If your a magicka NB you don't have enough stamina to use dual wield weapon skills effectively, hence, my comment they were never viable to begin with. And it certainly doesn't help that the one skill that we should rely on as a magicka NB the most is cloak, and its broke.Legacy of Kain

You don't always get what you want. These changes help balance various builds. This sheds more light to stamina builds, as they are almost non-existent.1 -
