Of course, with all the self-esteem boosting soccer mommies out there declaring sports can't have a winning team, because everyone is a winner, and high school basketball coaches getting suspended because their team won by too many points, it's not surprising that MMOs are starting to cater to those who feel entitled to a max level character without actually playing the game.
^^^So much this.....^^
since it will take 6 years based on the amount it takes to get a single cp point to get to 3600......sure ill pay for cp points. lol

Yeah Joejudas, not buying CP, buying VR14 toons so we don't have to level at all and just get to join your LFG end run in the time it took them to download the game. That is what is being purposed by the OP. But....you show an interesting point. When ZOS created this "long term" goal of a "lasting" game, they have created the very beast that is, IMO, going to create the downfall. I mean what is "convenient" for some, may be down right P2W for others. I mean where does it end? 3600 CP at 1 hour (grinding optimist number) = 150 days if you pee in a diaper, are spoon feed, never shower, and have a tag in partner for when you need a nap. No one wants that kind of grind. ZOS could have introduced the CP in stages, so people could obtain smaller chunks, then be introduced to more with the next DLC, etc. Then no one would "want" the boosts.
I was going to sit and see what happens, but the more these threads appear, the more it shows that all the nay sayers were right, and we are falling faster than a *** panties when the ships come in to port.
Yet both cheesy, and (imo) against the spirit of the game. Both fit the exact same requirements for being listed as a "convenience" item as well:
Nothing that isn't already attainable.
Shortens the length of time needed to acquire a goal.
Players aren't required to use the store to reach the same goal.
Different enough that they are marketed for different desires? Sure. Different enough to prevent either or both from fitting the current definition of what can be put in the store as "convenience"? Nope.

Sad honestly I had such high hopes for ESO ..

Not trying to be rude, but what has that to do with my point? My point was that one speeds your progress as you EARN experience, and the other allows you to skip earning experience altogether.

Your point is that they're different, my point is that its only partially true.

i can't play every day, and when i can spare time i have around 2 hours playing time. I'm V4 and i will never reach V14, it starts getting booring to play because i know that i never will reach max level where the fun starts.
All i ask is; Would it be possible to give people the options to max level an charachter from no matter what level they are or from level restrictions as 50 / v1 to v14? Not for free but maybe though the Crown Store which comes soon or for money such as 50 euro or something like that.
Best Regards
Fabian
So if the Crown store sold an option that allowed you to kill 1 mudcrab and gain a level that would be ok, but not to sell a VR1 or VR14 level toon?
The Rings of Mara are nothing more than a earn 10 VR levels get 1 free deal. We already know that deal can be "improved" by subscribing in the future. The real question is WHY is buying levels a problem? Don't say it will ruin the game. Tell me how it will impact YOU, because I bet in truth it would mean nothing to your gaming.

I already said earlier in the thread how it would affect my gameplay, and that is a huge crop of brand new players shoved into endgame content who have zero idea what they're doing. It will wreck the community, as after a few truly horrific PUGs with people who have no idea what they are doing, people will start flat out asking others if they bought their character. Don't say that won't happen, it happens all the time in other games that offer this type of service. Those who bought the max level character will also quickly find that end game isn't what they thought it would be, because as it stands there is woefully little content.
I never wanted to see this game go the route of catering to extremely casual players at the detriment of those with more time to invest, but it's already going in that direction, so I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
Before you even try to paint me as an elitist, I'm far from it. I don't even have a max level character. The difference between me and some is that I don't feel that the game should be brought down to my level, and I don't feel that I should be able to "easy button" something that others work for. Others invest more time than me, they get more than me. I don't like the entitlement that causes some people to believe that they deserve to be on par with the people who work for something just because they want to.
Where the hell did this mindset even come from? It's rampant in the MMO community, especially, and that's why MMOs keep going the route ESO is going. It sure does suck for me, because I like playing a game where I work toward something and when I achieve it, it's meaningful. Seems there are fewer people like me and increasingly more people who want it handed to them with no effort.
But you're right, in actuality it will mean nothing to my gameplay because I am no longer playing this game.
Others invest more time than me, they get more than me. I don't like the entitlement that causes some people to believe that they deserve to be on par with the people who work for something just because they want to.

I'm glad to hear that, i will check the day Crown Stores realeases to pay for it if it is possible there already.
On the offchance that you're just extremely gullible: this will not be an option on the Crown Store. The poster was just trying to be funny.
