In all seriousness, the whole point of racial abilities was to give some difference between the races and have the choosing of one of them mean something. Sucks you put a lot of time into a character only to have the racial you are accustomed to changed, but this is an MMO. This sort of thing is expected.

That's just the way it goes in an MMO. Been that way as long as i can remember. If you can't roll with it, prolly best to jump ship on the whole genre asap. Because the amount of time ZoS let some things ride is not normal for bigger name MMO's imo. I am seriously surprised there hasn't been at least one other major update of this magnitude in the better part of the year ESO has been live.
Actually, just Redguard and Imperial. Khajiit does not belong in this list.If you want to play stamina build, redguard, imperial, kahjiti are must.

The +10% stam from Redguard and Imperial gives a flat +5% dps. Furthermore, Imperial gets a ridiculous amount of +health, which means you can allocate even more points into stam. The +6% crit on Khajiit will only return +3% dps, and the rest of the Khajiit racials are totally useless for PVE dps.

I don't think the issue with racial passives are how they each fit to one playstyle, but how they are so different in regard to how powerful they are, which they should not be.
I agree with your point. But you also don't want to see this, LF1 sorc for trial, Altmer only, LF1 Nb for vdsa, Redguard and imperial only.malikwalker_ESO wrote: »malikwalker_ESO wrote: »If you quit, can i have your stuff?

How powerful they are is really subjective. It is totally dependent on the player's POV.
That point aside, if racials weren't powerful, what would be the point of having them? Why not just nix the concept altogether? Why not have any racial abilities period? Or go the other way-just have one race?
I could go on, but really there is no point. I have no doubt ZoS will readjust some racial passives they think need it, but i truly doubt they are going to fine-tune all of them so there are more or less equal, because see my second paragraph again.

I completely agree with that. However the type of player that makes those type of request/recruiting messages are going to make those same types of messages using some other arbitrary stat/playstyle as a measuring stick if not racial passives. Its best to just play(whatever game it is) the best you can or want to and ignore the "have to have/be X to roll with me" crowd. You'll have a much better experience.
not in pts 1.6.I don't see why people complain about racial abilities unless your minimum/maxing, it won't be to much of a factor.
There won't ever be specific LF such and such race, at least out of guilds designed to run that way. Like someone else said, Id hate to see the passives be completely insignificant as then there would be no point in having races.
I agree some of the races could use a slight buff, but all in all i think they are good where they are at.

Reroll? Maybe, except I have spent 10 months on my char and I can dump it like nothing ever happened.
And btw, what patch 1.6 has done is pretty much nerf our v14 characters to v1-v3 and we have to grind up all again (no real new game content) to be as good as we are in 1.5. The difference is, this time, it takes even longer. I don't quite like this idea.
I know for ZOS, 1.6 is a game relaunch, so we, beta testers (except we paid them) have done our job.
So, good job! Everyone! Please enjoy your new exciting grind journey in 1.6!
Sorry, just cannot stop the sarcasm here. I guess I am just too old and too tired to grind again. I know ZOS has done a lot, the champion system looks great, it is new and it needs a lot of tweaks, racial passives after soft cap removal is definitely an issue ZOS should look at. Please do not ignore this problem. Thanks.

1. they nerfed all base stats by 40%
2. if you have a 12% max health racial, its actually LESS effective than it is on live, because you get a 12% increase of 40% less.
3. they increased everything by a factor of 10.
What this means is that if you have a base health of 20,000, and you have the imperial racial, your health is 22,400.
ON LIVE, if you have a base health of 2,000, and you have the imperial racial, your health is 2,240.

They said it would never happen with Vanguard, until the cash shop came in. Racials where part of that game too.
I chose Breton NB because it would be a great magicka NB but due to softcaps i could also be a good stamina NB. But now i wish i made an imperial instead though as now i want to focus on one build (and i prefer Stamina).
Ill just wait for crown store.
