    can i steal underwear?

Haven't seen any... but there are miscellaneous items that exist specifically to be stolen... so one of those might be someone's underwear.

Apparently you can, in 1.6, actually steal and dye CLOTHING.

Yet somehow this did NOT make it into the patch notes?????

There are a lot of things you can find by being a thief hehe what you can use depends on what you launder

Nub question. Where are people getting their information for the changes being implemented in 1.6 and what will be in the crown store?

So awesome! Just found some clothes, too. The corseted shirt looks much better, if you have boobies to fill it out though. ;-)

It`s cool you can wear clothes from the opposite gender.

That is a fairly awesome barmaid/tavern wench type costume I must admit. I hope we can nick fancier clothing in manor homes and castles though! Anyone find any "Noble" type clothing yet???

    @MornaBaine

This is what I got so far. I got them all in Auridon in the Bank. Just have to wait until the guard is not there, grab some and run away fast. :-) They drop fairly often and come in several colours. You can dye them all, although all of my pics show the original colours.

Didn't find any real noble clothes yet. And it seems there is only feet, chest, arms, legs. At least I haven't found any hats, waist or shoulder stuff.

    Awesome!
Now we just need a set of Clothing Vendors that will sell these items to players that are not interested in participating in the Justice system.

As for me: I will happily steal the clothes right out of their closets, but some RP'ers may not be so keen on that idea.

Cool change though! Thanks for keeping us in Style!

They are not bound as long as you don't dye them. So you can buy them from other players, I guess :-))) That way you can stay innocent.

It's not for me, personally, that I mention it.
I have a number of guildies that appreciate the inclusion of the justice system, but do not want to be forced into being an outlaw to get some good RP gear. Vendors would fix the issue.
These are also folks that would take a bit of issue with purchasing laundered stolen goods.
It just makes sense to have them in vendors as well.

Yeah I got that it's not for you. ^^ And yes, it would be cool if there was a vendor for those who don't want to buy "second-hand" (as in stolen goods) clothes.

This is the best change Zeni has ever done. Clothing, actual legit clothing. Not a "costume" or a "disguise", clothing.

My Jhael is going to love murdering people in a pretty summer dress. She'll be, the summer-dress-murderer. [name is subject to change]

    Thanks for the heads-up!
Great .. except with no mechanism to instantly switch to armour it becomes a huge PITA to use this 'cosmetic' feature . .why couldn't ZOS simply make them costumes?

Great I suppose for the posers 'hanging out' wherever they do but this isn't a greatly practical system folks.

    Try wikkids outfitter add-on

So I borrow it while treasure hunting and I get to keep it if I launder it with my unmentionables? Then I can sell it?

Yes - as long as you don't dye it. If you dye it, then it becomes bound to you.

They take up an armour slot though right? So they're useless other than running around a town?

Now can we have the cosmetic tabs we've been asking for over the past year? Seems like the perfect time to implement those! B)

Yes they take up an Armor slot, yes they are useless outside of RP, and YES ZoS needs to add a system like Rift has where we have multiple costume "slots" or tabs so that we can change at will instead of taking up inventory space for all the different looks we'd love to have.

My thief could I think make a decent living by stealing and laundering clothes then selling them to people who like to RP but aren't into thieving. I've been playing on the PTS for just a few hours today and already have tons of clothes!

I imagine there will be a substantial black market for pilfered clothing.

I'm very heartened to see that dresses stay as dresses and pants stay as pants no matter the gender of the character who wears them. I was never keen on clothes switching gender in SP TES games from Oblivion onwards. Especially when everyone knows that Redoran guards in Morrowind almost always wore a skirt over their armor regardless of gender.

Thanks for this news, a great aspect of the Justice System.

Despite all the pros and cons of this and that, the simple truth is that this game just keeps getting better  !
