So, is being a Stage 4 vampire or a transformed werewolf NOT going to elicit any reactions from guards and citizens? We need to know. Please answer @ZOS_GinaBruno . Thank you.

Apparently not. Although there is time to add/change things about the update. I highly doubt Stage 4 attack-on-sight will be added at this point.

This is an absolute must. Stage 4 vampires and transformed werewolves should be KOS in the justice system. The justice system won't have a lot of integrity if small time thieves can be accosted but a vampire or werewolf can run free.

Yes they said a while ago in live stream that guards will engage stage 4 vampires and view them as potential criminals.

They had said in past things, vampires and werewolves won't be punished untill they comment a crime being a vampire or walking around morphed has a werewolf won't be a crime till you kill someone or steal

Edit: They need to make up their mind then to the person above me have heard them say both now

No it just means that the immersion breaking thing of townspeople not noticing AT ALL that there are MONSTERS standing right in front of them is going to continue unabated. I REALLY want to know the reason for this!

Personally I am glad and hope that they decided against it. I thought that was just an annoyance that was being put in for the sake of others immersion.

How would a guard know if I am a vampire? in past elder scroll games people just commented on me looking pale, sickly, and or diseased. Would be stupid for a guard to assume everyone who looks sick is a vampire and attck onsite...hell, I could just be an enimic starved veiny person with blodshot eyes and bad teeth. Doesn't give the guard the right to racially profile me and kill onsite...

Well, I just wolfed out in front of a guard... no shanks were given. I went on a minor rampage, and THEN she noticed I was a nine foot tall snarling deathbeast in a nation beset by nine foot tall snarling deathbeasts. So, yeah, maybe Daggerfall should aim a little higher when recruiting new guards.

Vampires with a high "stage" in Morrowind and Oblivion were the equivalent of kill on site.

But sickly looking people could be carrying plague. Given antibiotics are scarce in Tamriel, it's quite reasonable to kill them on sight. That some of them are in fact godless bloodsuckers and will get killed too is welcomed bonus.

That was Skyrim in Oblivion and Morrowind as long as you were covered well people didn't notice in fact there were no stages of vampirism in those games that I remember. Although Oblivion Vampires were by far the most fun to play

True but my favorite part of Oblivion Vampires was the fact the sun would roast you to death, too bad there can't be a wait function with TESO because then vamps would be a lot more fun to play

    No.

It makes abseloutely no sense that a blood starved vampire can not slap on a full-on iron helmet and that PEOPLE can still see that you're a vampire, even though your body is 100% covered in metal, and you look no different from the hundreds of guards standing beside you.

I agree on werewolves in their transformation, and vampires who use vampiric only powers. But murder a vampire because it decides to starve itself so it doesn't have to feed on the innocent? No.

We are always going to disagree here. I don't care how fluffy-bunny you play your vampire, it is illogical to think they CAN starve themselves without becoming a menace to society or sinking into torpor/possibly dying. I realize the game mechanic allows you to do exactly that but the game mechanic is SERIOUSLY FLAWED. I DO agree that a Stage 4 vampire SHOULD be able to wear COMPLETELY CONCEALING armor or clothing and thus escape detection. But that's the ONLY way it should happen. If a tiger walks into a mall, no one is going to know it's an escaped pet that has been defanged and declawed and wouldn't hurt a bunny rabbit. Folks are gonna scream, "OMFG IT'S A FREAKING TIGER!" and flee until the cops show up and gun it down.

They look sickly, common folk still has no bloody idea its a vampire.

Otherwise why don't we just delete the entire Rivenspire questline, as we as players can clearly see those are vampires. But no one else knows until they have been flat out told in front of their faces.

Also, there is a big difference between having a vampire going into a town, acting all civilized without opposing any threats, and a hissing bloodfiend running in with its claws out. For all the people in Tamriel knows, that person is just extremely sick, and needs the assistence of a healer. Just like we've been shown in Skyrim, and those looked even more monstrous, than sickly like the vamps in ESO.

Explanation...its the smell. The undead stink of....well death. The more starved you are, the stinkier you get. Maybe the guards should have hounds that can smell vampires out...wouldn't be a big deal for werewolves because of the kinship.
