No I don't think so. I live in Australia and I can tell there will be huge population issues along with the cost of running a second mega server. No one would be stupid enough to transfer to it an oceanic one, especially with the failure of other MMO's and there oceanic servers.

Deal with night capping, some people are night owls and your not going to stop it by removing a specific time zone. Infact, it would make nightcapping more easier as there won't be as many active defenders online.

I agree in that it won't stop Aussies from playing on an NA server and they would largely continue to play on an NA server even if an Oceanic server was available.

Whats wrong in my opinion is theres a disproportionate amount of Aussies on EP side vs any other for some reason.

At that time, it would make sense to transfer oceanic over...

Its not Oceanic players.

Its certain members of EP (I'm sure you know who) Decide to stay up until 8am capping everything while everyone has work and school to do and they are asleep.

The only way to stop it is to get other no-lifers who don't have any commitments to stay up all night to fight the nightcappers.

I've tried going to AA an NA meetings to recruit but all they wanna talk about is their feelings ... It's really discouraging . I always end up wanting to drink after ,

How about having point gain based on pop. At locked pop full points like now. At low pop have low points so a night cap or cap before maintenance isn't so crushing in points.

Shut down keep capping if there is a population imbalance of 150+ people on one side. Attacking when the server is empty is blatant cheesing.

Yes but the game is also programmed by zen and they can use creativity to create a pvp environment that (a) isn't exploited to a point of being unfun and (b) is still consistent with a persistent online world.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for maintaining persistency. I would even argue nightcapping is legit. But its a fine line between realism for the sake of realism and stupidity for the sake of realism. If there are 0 players to counter, its not pvp anymore, its selectively timed pve.

This is why there needs to be some kind of treaty system so that factions can negotiate what is considered honourable play (and also as a flipside, break those treaties in merciless backstabbery).

If a faction has a 20% higher population then another, they should be locked. Then EP players can either decide to wait in queue for 5 months or level a new character on DC.
