We are currently paying for server access to play the game. I don't care where my money goes as long as I am paying for a quality game and service, regardless of the platform. I may be buying the console edition as well.

I was paying to play and have the game I was playing polished into what was advertised regardless of platform. I recently found out that the lack of updates and improvements were because the plans for the game had changed. They knew this was coming before the "keep playing your vet...." and "Okay how about 70cp instead of the *** 30 for everyone" right before sub payment dates. I'm having a hard time even caring about the changes because of how they offered us one thing to get the money to pay for something someone else might want.

This poll is like if a tax payer is trying to incite his fellow tax payers to protest the fact that part of the tax money funds soup kitchens, because he doesn't like soup.

Sorry, but you don't get to have a say where your money goes... You pay to access the service, just like everyone else does.

Woul be alot better if they all shared the same server so we could go back and forth on consoles and pc without playing on different accs

If the funding flows both ways from pc to console in order to make a better game we all benefit from I'm cool with that. If they start filtering PC revenue and have support, upkeep and content issues because if it I'd have an issue.

We've already seen a trend in the industry not only to cater to console players but actually push the PC players to console through lack of support and game design. The continued dumbing down of games with some increase in console tech and capabilities the day is coming where there will be only console game perhaps merely played on PC if you have the right hardware.

I wonder once its released if the console crowd might spend more money than the PC crowd.

Every time I hear this, I get more and more frustrated that it won't happen. I want to play on both platforms so much!

DCUO is available on Desktop, PS3, and PS4. The ratio of Console: Desktop is 3:1. The Console players spend much more $$ than the Desktop players, and as such, much of the game's development is due to the considerable funding from the Console side... however they can't discriminate between platforms, and currently the Desktop players are reaping the benefits of the Console players' contributions to the overall development of the game.

Taking this as an example of what could happen to ESO, the ouroboros symbol is very indicative of the flow of development and funds in relation to this very game. SOE was willing to take a gamble on what would happen to the game as F2P was the original intention of the DCUO IP, and with some smart adjustments and decision making it paid off. And yes, the sub option is still available for that game on the desktop and console platforms.

The potential for ESO is so big. This forum gives consoles too little credit sometimes. ESO will be huge.

Ah, you know, recently l looked at the client's OS X executable file. And what can I say, I saw exactly those bits that had been coded with your money!

But it's a futile wish anyway, since art / graphical assets are and will be shared across all platforms whenever possible. You don't reinvent the wheel if you don't have to.

    We allready did.

    Nothing to be done now.

With console launch we become second rate customers. Content will be tailored to console wants / needs and merely ported to PC

Yeah :/ Final fantasy does an excellent job on that.
Well of course we can play on both platforms,i will,We will get to copy our old characters and they will still be there on pc,But they will not share the same progress and server. Would be so much fun if they did.

Every platform has its loud minority of elitists. I'm sure some PS4 and XBone owners think the same way.

It's kind of imposible not to anyway. Art assets, content, design elements, game mechanics and so on are the same regardless of platforms.

I want the game to be improved, and all platform should receive the same treatment. It is most likely that in the end, the console players are what will be funding most of the development.

    HOWEVER.

I do NOT want this b2p nonesense. I will not give any money at all if this really goes through and I will support none of the platforms by simply leaving when that change comes in.
