Crow's Wood boss spider is bugged.

Every time when I almost kill the boss spider it disappears into a wall and then i have to wait 20 minutes or more for the spider to appear, but again it disappears into a wall when I almost kill it.

Anyone else experience this and if so did you put in a bug report?

I remember being talked into a group for a mass dungeon - cannot recall the name of it. There was a boss spider who would inevitably retreat both into a wall and sort of under the ground.

After logging off, reloading and being generally frustrated as hell, my irritated orc refused to back away - and low and behold, even though 'invisible' and 'hiding in a wall' we could still see the damn damage bar. As long as someone was there to keep the aggro triggered, he wouldn't completely dissapear.

The downside was that he did a crapload of damage. So eventually my orc stayed close to him, two folks with healing up the ying-yang (and apparently some random kind people with soul gems - got to be quite the crowd there - it was more than just our 'group o four') anyway, eventually we killed the little *** and got the acheivement scrolling across our screens.

And then probably half the players were dancing and stomping all over the remains of the battle. That was almost more fun than the fight.

I was with a group going against this spider. It got away, then we waited for a respawn and everyone went for that one spider and ignored the rest, finally getting the achievement.

I was just doing this with a couple of other folks recently. The spider's name ... oh crap I can't recall it exactly, but it's something with 'widow' in it. Everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) pause at the beginning, target that one, and then let loose. Then you can deal normally with the rest of them.

Totally doesn't work if you have a bunch of impatient 13-year-old-types rushing in like idiots (disclaimer: I'm talking about a type, not impugning every 13 year old player).

Encountered exactly the same problem a couple of days back. One of the three spiders kept disappearing into the wall. Spawned a couple of minutes later, rinse/repeat. Three of us had multiple attempts without success.

You guys are talking about 2 different spider bosses. The Crow's Wood one is fixed (just a Single large spider). The other one is a world boss in "Spiders Nest", which has not been fixed yet.

I though he was referring to the two smaller spiders you encounter before the big spider.

I did the the Spider's Nest several times and never encountered a problem.

Spiders Nest has been bugged since release in one way or another. If you get behind the boss where it tries to run into the wall and attack it, it won't go under ground or in the wall. You have to be very quick and ready for a lot of dmg as s low lvl toon.
