Maintenance for the week of May 18:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – May 18, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – May 18, 8:00 UTC (4:00AM EDT) - 13:00 UTC (9:00AM EDT)

Did ZOS just imply that the justice system PVP component may or may not ever be implemented?

Oh please stop being so freaking naive. This will just be another fkover by ZOS. And they'l keep adding them to the pile, trust me. This game will go down as the biggest management disaster ever in MMO land and even worse treatment of customers than EA.

I dont think anyone could be as bad as EA lol. Remember Earth and Beyond?

SOE. Just mention those 3 letters to anyone who played Star Wars: Galaxies.
Then for fun, mention the name John Smedley... and watch their heads explode. The man's name is now a noun and verb: "They went ahead and pulled a Smedley"; "They had better not Smedley this game".

I think they may have taken a step back and thought about how the PvP justice system will work when you have a lot of players that look like Ouroboros.

Depending on how it is implemented, the full Justice system could easily be the final nail in the coffin for the game. So if they don't get it right then you'll know. Lots of griefing potential... Especially on players just reaching Davon's/Vulhkel/Daggerfall.
Due to a typo in the system, the area was accosted by the Daedric Prince Moar Lag Brawls.

Are you guys learning this now? From previous eso live, they did mention that the pve aspect of the justice system will be implemented first and like the champion system, the justice system will have to be in phases before it is fully implemented. The PvP component will be put in at a later stage. I thought this was common knowledge, guess not.

All that you have to do is go to any bank in the game and see why the PvP part of the Justice System may not happen. So, when you can get the players who spam abilities in the bank to grow up and act like adults, maybe we can get that part of the Justice System.

I'm sure the first time the first part of the Justice System goes live and they all get 2-shotted by the guards that pour in, they'll think better of their actions.

I figure the game is mostly in maintenance mode now. Aside from stuff they have already completed this year we can probably all forget about any more cool changes to game mechanics besides cash shop cosmetics and the occasional new 'safe' DLC in the form of an extra zone.

But if they do the PvP aspect how they explained it between QuakeCon and the Guild Summit. Having it work like a Bounty System, it would hardly be open world PvP in the all free-for-all all the time, sense.

You get caught committing a crime, you bail - hard and fast. You get away, your name and your bounty show up on a bounty board for enforcers to hunt down.

This idea with Enforcer tabards and criminal tabards and if you're wearing them you're fair game was ridiculous and just not feasible. Making it a bounty system would be a better path to take, in my opinion.

I'm still waiting for them to detail how the justice system works in it's entirety. So far they've been tight-lipped about it. Even though it could be going live sometime in the next month.

What're they gonna do? Let us figure it out on our own?

ZOS: "Here's your erector set kids, its the Empire State Building. Get to work!"
Us: "But Dad where's the directions?"
ZOS: "THERE ARE NO DIRECTIONS!!!!! DON'T MAKE ME GET THE BELT! MAKE ME A SKYSCRAPER NOW!"

I think the pvp element is a largely profitable enterprise for them and gaining public notice. Whether it's profitable enought, I cannot say. To say it's too big of an issue with balance, mechanics, and implementation is absurd though. Some MMOs have open world PVP for nearly two decades. To say it can't be done is simply false. It is perhaps, though, a lack of gumption and profitability that makes them hesitant to pursue such endeavors. As such, I will be disappointed if they do not at least try to follow through with their initial claims.

Yet we are the savior of Nern. I understand why the guards are unkillable but to make them OP seems to contradict the story. Perhaps, like in Skyrim, they will instead drop to their knee once you've drained their health. Ukillable but not unstoppable lol. I would like this better but I'm not sure what repercussions this would hold in terms of mechanics.

No. Nobody is worse than EA. At least ZoS has actually spoken to us or at least made it look like they cared. EA sure as *** has NEVER done that, nor any of their publishers

I don't get the point of having justice system without the pvp part, or thief/DB/guard missions. What will we do so ? Sneaking, stealing and killing random npcs for nothing ? With no enforcers cause there won't be the pvp part ? What is the justice system pve ?

No, they're now learning that ZoS are not even sure if they're going to implement the PvP component.

Read the quote in the OP's post which was taken from the recent Reddit AMA, the quote is the answer given by ZOS_MattF in response to the question "Please talk about how the PVP portion of the Justice system will work with Tamriel Unlimited. Is this portion now DLC?"

Well, in my two years of SWTOR I have never felt so screwed over or lied to. Before the launch of ESO, the devs made themselves look like trustworthy and listening people thst cared about their game and the community. Afterwards it became painfully clear they are just sneaky and sly foxes, taking pride in twisting and contradicting their own words. I never felt EA was like that in SWTOR. Im not saying they did a good job, but at least they weren't as bad with communication in my experience.

They already said messing with guards would most likely be a death sentence. I don't think you'll be seeing ANYONE 1vX'ing any guards. Ever.

What if it happens like in SWTOR? A group of like minded players attacking guards. Will they all earn death sentence?

I agree if people can't control themselves they deserve what they get. I like Rawl'kha because its convenient but I hate going there because there's always someone spamming spells over and over all over town or in the bank. I say bring it on and let them rack up fines for attacking NPCs and then get hunted down like dogs.
