It is their game. If anyone feels that the compensation for being a subscriber, no matter for how long or under what conditions, up until now is not adequate by their terms, they have the right to act accordingly.
You might feel like you were taken advantage of, for the price of a subscription, and that you are owed more than 100 Crowns/month and a horsie. If you want to keep playing, then you have to get past it, in one way or another.

It would be cool if, for everyone who had an original activation of the game while the subscription model was in place, they would get this reward when they hit 12 total paid months (365 paid days), in any combination of subscription, game card, or ESO Plus.
This would be a way to close out the original subscribers and give people what they expected for hanging around for a year (total).
