Reminder: If you play the PTS, you will be paying ZOS to test their B2P game

The Champion and Justice systems, both major components of 1.6, will be available to all players (Plus and non-Plus players alike) when Tamriel Unlimited drops. This means players who purchase the game but do not opt for a Plus Membership will have access to those systems.

Yet ZOS is asking you to pay a subscription fee while TESTING content that will be free to all players in 2 months. You will be paying them to test their game; paying them to test content that will be free for all players in two months.

I will not play the PTS. I do not support this method of using us as paying test subjects.

I'm posting this stuff because I care about the future of this game. I see no future under the current direction. Stop drinking the kool-aid and think for yourself for once.

It's not hate. I think this game is awesome. I want to keep it that way.

I care too, sorry Rohaus. Hate is nice at this time, since the company itself seems to hate the history of the game and their subscribers

Except it won't be "free" unless they at least bought the game. So just stop saying free.

I understand the anger and even agree with quite a bit of it. But unless you plan on quitting what purpose will it serve your future game to not know what changes are coming?

My main is a sorc....I want to know and understand how badly she is being gimped.

My secondary is a Temp healer...I want to know and understand what loss she is taking on heals.

That DK Firemage I "was" building for pvp....I want to know how bad is being gimped.

That Templar Archer I made because they say Templars are sup to get better dps/stam....I want to see if works now.

I want to see what effects Champ system may have. I want to see the new provisioning system.

etc/etc/etc.......unless you are quitting, not going into PTS just hurts you (imo). You can play/test without giving them your two cents about it.

All MMO's are in a state of constant development .New systems will be tested internally , placed on a public beta test server , then placed on the live servers , during each of these stages they make changes to the games code along with changes to the code for the new systems . Each stage exposes the new systems , and new code , to a larger base of concurrent users which increases the chance of bugs and code errors being found .

Simply put even on the live servers you are still testing the game , if that causes you problems then perhaps MMO games are not suited to you , but that is entirely up to you to decide .

Sadly, this is what we have been doing since beta/launch. Paying ZoS to test their game for their precious B2P console game. It's very clear now. Everything is and has always been about consoles. What a bunch of absolute tools we have been.

Oh looky here. a new member telling all the people that have been financially supporting this beta test since launch to "suck it up". How utterly convenient. News flash bud. LOTS of us care. Lots of us are pretty damned upset atm because we have been paying supporters of this game since day one. Who do you think you are to come here and make comments about QQing. If you don't like to see upset and angry people, then perhaps you should go to a forum that isn't full of people that have been lied to for the last year.

Some people go to the PTS because they have genuine interest in the game and spend their time there as volunteers. They get a first taste of what is to come and through their "volunteer playing" they also help test stuff and possibly eliminate bugs and such. It is a good thing, and whether it is "smart" or not is irrelevant, since volunteers do not aim for any particular profits other than personal satisfaction maybe.

On the other hand there are the "smart arses" who will rush to taste and learn the new content and find the weak points and whatever can be exploited. So, when it comes live they have the "upper hand" (if said weak points have not been fixed) and they can exploit fast and furious, at least until the problem is fixed at some point later with a subsequent patch, when many more players become aware and make reports that eventually will alert the dev team.

The third group of players, and by far the largest, simply do not care about any PTS activity, continue with their daily gaming and just wait for the new content to come live.

You can choose to belong to any of the above three, be an "angel", be a "devil", and of course totally ignore all about the PTS too (group 3). All is well. But... there are certainly several players who DO care, even after a whole year of screw ups (and lies).

You are obviously disenfranchised with the game. Just stop playing and leave the forums. You are upset with the announcement, and thats your entitlement to be so, so just leave. Your attitude as indicative of your post will not serve the game (or yourself) well at all.

I for one re-subbed to the game after the announcement.

I really dont understand why people is playing on PTS.

ZOS doesnt change anything because of that people. All the PST players get mad because ZOS never fix or change a thing based in what they say. Players throw the feedback and nothing happens.

And now,as the OP says,you will be paying them.

I just cant get where is the pleasure of playing on PTS server.

I do feel conflicted about the PTS now when I was happy to test before. At the end of the day though if we test we end up with a less messy release and I get to be able to plan for some of the provisioning changes. So I'll be there - just with a heavier heart than before.

Well if you care as you say you are you should know that this all thank to microsoft that don't want to allow extra subscribe fee beside there own on XboxOne so that is why ZoS have do like this.

So if you want to complain send to microsoft so you don't want to help out on PTS fine just don't do no one if force anyone you to do and i get people are upset and *** off i'm to but there are no point scream for wolf until we know how it will work out.

I'll go on PTS to check out the new systems for sure. It'll be interesting to test out the champion system on my main character. Can't see the harm in it.

Nope, they should get 1.6 in its finished form.

We shouldn't have to be the ones to finish it though.
