The only thing I'm not too keen on (and I'm probably in a minority here) is the XP boosts. These kinds of things have a tendency to overlevel the player too quickly and trivialize content. I'd honestly like an option to disable the XP boost, so I can relax and enjoy the story without getting too far ahead of the power curve.
Perhaps if the XP/crafting boosts were soul-bound consumables instead of automatically applied...?
but anyway, that's just me... as I said, I'm quite stoked for the goodies in the store and I have no intention of letting my subscription lapse.
What's not to like? Seriously? They took our money for the game, took our subs and said, "You will have access to all content in game at no additional charge!" Then what they did was use our sub fees to create content and a cash shop that we now can only access by purchasing with extra payments in a cash shop. The question really should be, "Why are so many people happy to pay extra for things we were told we would have access to by paying our sub fee?" If they want to keep their word and not lie to us subscribers should have access to an in game equivalent to the cash shop selling the same items for in game gold.
You realize your Forum Tag from Paul Sage contradicts your whining…
"You buy the game, pay the sub and all content is available to you."
Guess what, that is still true.
All content meaning all mounts. Will they be?
Will they be what? Free in the game? Of course not…
Read what the tag says.. BUY the game, PAY the sub and all content is available to you.
The quote was from when a sub was all there was. The quote is still valid when it goes B2P… what is so hard to understand? lol
IF you pay your sub, you earn crowns from doing so which you use to buy the mount.
When I pay a sub, I can buy a mount whenever I want. When I have to rely on cash shop virtual currency, I have to pay for months before I am able to afford it. Do you see a difference here?
It's the same thing.
You either grind in game to get money to buy a horse at the stable or you wait for a month or two to save up Crowns for a horse in the shop.
I agree you get more now than we did before as a subscriber.
The main challenge comes down the road when content comes out much slower because they are focused on cash store items and not delivering content.
Im not as worried as other are around Pay2Win. Im more concerned about how the focus on expanding the game and its inevitably going to slow down now due to this.

It's bad enough I have to pay for thirteen more days of this crap, but at least that will give me time to delete the rest of my characters. Fine, this move makes a lot of you happy. I'm too old to risk any more time on this game when I don't see any good coming from it. I might as well play Dragon Age for a while, or try some other single player game where I don't have the annoyance that this game will soon be filled with.
The combination of tactless and non-committed newbies in a game with the Justice System that's coming? Count me out. And I know that my presence won't be missed, and that's fine. The presence of all of you in my life won't be missed either, so we're pretty much even.
Was looking for something witty to put here, but then I remembered the scene in that movie… you know the one with Buscemi with the gun, the heels and the lipstick? Where he was gonna shoot up the reunion until he got a phone call with an apology from whats his face?
Anyone remember what that movie was?
