Is update 1.6 considered a DLC now?

I hope they don't pull a bungie Destiny bait and switch and pull content so they can sell it as DLC.

Hardly. They could not possibly have some players running around with the 1.6 'DLC' and some without, considering 1.6 redoes all skills and boosts stats by a factor of 10

1.6 is the initial state of "unlimited".

Any new CONTENT after that - DLC
Imperial city, clockwork etc

Any new SYSTEM CHANGES after that - free
class balance, new abilities, ?new mechanics?

As stated in the livestream.

Now if only someone could clarify

Spellcrafting - DLC or not?
Dark brotherhood - ???
Thieves guild - ???

etc. All the "free" content we were taunted with for the past year. I guess it all jumps to the "DLC" category now.

ESO+ for me it is.

ESO+ for me it is.

You will probably have enough crowns from the initial box bonus+sub bonus+past sub bonus to last you for a while if you use it all to buy DLC packs, should you choose to go the free route.

That would be a hilarious example of Pay to Win.

As a general rule, serious game balance changes, like the stat revisions, can't be gated off from players. So if a class ever gets an overhaul, it'll apply to everyone with that class, subscribers and non alike.

If 1.13 brings three skill lines for werewolves, and three skill lines for vampires. Even if you're not a subscriber, you're probably going to get access to those.

If 1.13 also brings Haafinheim and a questline involving the Volkihar... you're probably going to need to either sub up or pay some crowns to play that.

Okay, at a guess... Spellcrafting might be DLC, but I doubt it.

Thieves Guild: If they're coming with the 1.6 patch, then not DLC. If they're going to be an additional quest line later, and the only connection with the ability to steal and fence stuff is, they do it too... then that will probably be DLC.

The same is true for Dark Brotherhood, except, they're actually more likely to be DLC further down the road.

The ability to join both groups might be open to anyone, with the quests gated, which seems most likely, since all of the guilds to date have skill lines associated with them.

When 1.6 hits the servers, it will be with the Crown Store turned off. Then the store will be turned on March 17th.

We paid for PS4 and XB1 developing!
They do not have to pay anything to play the game at our current status!
Some people do not get it...

We are getting robbed 2 month more for testing 1.6 on PTS.

So what they really have been working on is this new BTP.. Thats why 1.6 is not here and will not be until sometime in Feb... I need to get off this forum making things worse for me...

I did visit other Ftp locust forums they are generally positive about this ... In fact most forums are but to us we feel wronged... Most of us are older PC gamers that prefer the sub model....

Most of the F2P locusts I've seen were getting their news from other locusts who said the game was actually going Free to Play instead of going to an optional sub format. So they're drooling over the schadenfreude of seeing someone else's game go down the tubes, or the idea that not playing and waiting was the right choice... only to howl when they realize the game is still going to cost money up front.

As someone stated which version? In update 6 the veteran system on PC is still going to have veteran ranks. The justice system will only be the first phase. By that statement can we take it to mean any adjustments to these systems will not be DLC?

Not only the sixty bucks but they have to pay for the gaming online subscription, granted that gets them access beyond ESO but still part of the cost. I understand why they went this direction, when you bring other companies into the mix you have to compromise.

Well you still have your sub model so what has you upset? Yes I don't see how update 6 won't make live until February. Which was what I figured in the first place just hoped it would be early instead of mid or end of month. Oh well best laid plans I suppose.

Yeah. Playstation Plus and XBL sub fees have been mentioned occasionally with other MMOs pushing for console launches. I think Cryptic cited it as the main reason they scrapped the 360 launch of STO. Getting someone to pay 15 bucks a month is hard enough, getting them to pay TWO subscriptions for a game is basically a non-start.
