After 1 year of paying subscriptions, we're finally getting the long-promised Champion System that will set right end-game progression and do away with the patchwork VR system.

And the Champion and Justice systems will be available to all, sans subscription fee, coming in March.

The game should have been delayed and launched this year with those systems implemented, the bugs fixed, performance improved. Instead you charged us 1 year of subscription fees to help pay for what should have been done before launching. You charged us an entire year of subscription fees to develop content that you were intending to make free.

Short answer is DKs likely won't be seeing a ton of changes before we go live; this class is still quite powerful (as it should be being a tank), even after some of the adjustments we've made to other classes and abilities.

Considering I just paid about $180 so that ZOS could launch a polished, B2P version of this game, right now I don't feel like I got my money's worth.

Yeah, this is sad. I recently came back after a two month break, I have been playing since early access, and this is just an insult to loyal subscribers.

    What a joke.

With that kind of attitude it's hardly a surprise the analysts at ZOS felt emboldened enough to charge a sub fee for that entire year. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free, right?

how many hrs you played in 1 year ? I'm betting over 180hrs so you paid 1$ per hour of entertainment or less, if you didn't enjoy it you wouldn't have subbed.

I paid 30 for the game and 3 months sub played around 50 hrs over 3 characters, I feel I got my money's worth.

Seems like a subjective test, particularly when you consider the news: It sounds like I could have enjoyed all of those hours at about $0 per hour of entertainment, like new players will be able to.

Wow, that's a much better deal!

ESO was always planned to be a console game. The limited action bar, the ridiculous linear inventory, all screamed console. I think they planned B2P for consoles from the start. The PC sub was basically a paid beta test.

If they had struck it rich with PC subs, perhaps they may have changed their strategy, but I doubt it.

1 year playing time paying to develop the final game. No, in retrospect I didn't enjoy being a paid beta tester. Isn't that quite clear from my original post?

Also, just FYI, but I took about 6 months off because the bugs and the performance in this game were so bad. But I kept my sub fee active because I believed in the game, wanted to support it, and wanted to return when the Champ system launched. Well here I am, ready to return with the Champ system, hoping that the game has finally found its legs--and it's going B2P.

There are no legal repercussions--they were well within their rights, so let's not even start that.

All MMO's are in a state of constant development .New systems will be tested internally , placed on a public beta test server , then placed on the live servers , during each of these stages they make changes to the games code along with changes to the code for the new systems . Each stage exposes the new systems , and new code , to a larger base of concurrent users which increases the chance of bugs and code errors being found .

Simple put even on the live servers you are still testing the game , if that causes you problems then perhaps MMO games are not suited to you , but that is entirely up to you to decide .
