Need help with setting up my ports for patch download

Hello!

First let me say I am not tech savvy by any means, so I really have no idea what I am doing here. I've been trying to download ESO for the last day or so, but haven't had much luck. I'm trying to download the patch through the launcher. It got stuck at 18% the first attempt, saying it had a WebGet error. I restarted the download last night, only to see that it had moved from 9% to 10% in 8 hours. I've read that changing the ports on my computer will allow for a quicker download.

TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507
TCP / UDP Ports 49100 through 54000

It is my understanding that I need to set these as outbound ports. My problem is that when I try to do that, it tells me ports cannot be less than 0. Do I need to set something for the inbound port as well, if so what should I do?

Any help that can be provided would/will be greatly appreciated!

    Hey there @xzxzxz70,

This is highly dependent on the brand/model/software version of your particular router. All of their interfaces/error messages are very different, so it would be difficult for us to provide specific troubleshooting in this case.

Generally the manufacturer's website for the router will have the best information on how to set up ports for your particular router. Simply do a search for your particular brand/model of router and you should find what you need. There are also some third party sites that have visual guides on setting up ports. Hope that helps!
