Immovable spam.

arnaldomoraleseb17_ESO
Hi! I have returned after 5 months of leaving the game and I have to say that it's MUCH better and fun now and is wonderful that stamina builds work great now.

What I don't like is all classes/builds (at least good players) are spamming immovable without problems, looks like people never get out of resources and I can't do nothing to stop people hitting me with heavy attacks to restore resources in my face.

Right now about 90% of 1 vs 1 last forever and I have to give up to kill my enemy.

Can anyone please give me some tips to stop people (Immovable up) restoring resources with heavy attacks on me?. Thanks!

A lot of 1v1s last for a while these days with SnB/resto builds It's all about that moment when you know your resources are better than there's and can go full offensive or the second Immovable drops hit them with a knock down and they are forced onto the back foot be it momentarily you need to press on. Or play hard offense (but not so hard you have nothing left) to get them to drain their stam on blocking. SnB/resto must be boring as hell to play but is clearly effective. I personally couldn't play like that but it works well across the board.

Don't stay on the back foot the entire fight unless your opponent is going hell or high water to the point they have no mana/stam playing pure defense won't work but a good old fashioned dodge roll under their feet is an excellent way to get them out of your face as a lot of players haven't mastered the art of a fast turn.

I see you have a templar in your sig blazing shield is your best friend in melee situations because bads will wreck them self on it 9/10. My temp is only V11 But in 4v1 against V14's I can usually bring the squishiest down through dodge rolling out to apply a crit charge and spamming blazing shield the others don't care about his HP so will keep on breaking it then apply execute at the right time.

I am not run SnB/resto build. I am playing now with my DK in Heavy Armor, stamina build, 2h/DW and I can last forever if I play balanced (not much offensive and not much defensive). Well, good mages (with magicka build) kick my a*s stupidly fast but other classes/builds can't kill me and I can't kill them :-(. Maybe I have to try with Medium Armor or different sets. What I hate is people getting immovable up all time whitout stamina build. Crazy regen stats and the possibility to regenerate resources with heavy attacks make small battles or 1v1 situations last looooong time (it's my opinion, maybe I am a noob).

The same thing happen with Templars using Blazing shield. I can spam blazing shield with stamina build and never get myself out of resources.

I am using stamina builds. I restore stamina with heavy attacks and I have pretty good recovery values (120+ stamina/magicka).

Ok, so you are recovering resources in same manner, with heavy attacks, same as resto users recover magicka. How would you stop yourself from recovering?

Problem is they can't stop me and I can't stop them. I only want to know if there is something that could help or it's simply a game design and duels should last for 30 minutes.

Without perma Immovable I am sure that small battles would be much shorter.

That is true for builds relying on Immovable only, wich is mostly not 1-hand/shield, and not stealthy character. Things like 2 hand stam builds or destro sorcs would go down faster. I don't see the issue with them though...

Also, heavy attacks of all ranged weapons will be interruptable in 1.6 again. That should really do something against the "endless duel" situations.

I would go medium armor for extra damage and stamina. If you need armor just put one 620 armor enchant on jewelry. The key to winning 1vs1 pvp is to drain their stamina so they can be knocked down. Other option is to out dps them, killing them before they can kill you. This calls for high burst dps setup with soul assault ulti for example.

When I fight players using immovable I find the best way to kill them is pure burst.

If they use immovable and are not a tank they likely aren't blocking, so laying as much damage into them as possible is a good idea. This can cause them to miss their next immovable cast, wich in turn can open a window for a quick finish.

As a player who also uses immovable I find fights against others who do to be very interesting, especially if both players are quick and moblile. The fight no longer becomes about who can lay down more cc, but it becomes a test of who can over power, time better, and pressure harder.

Couldn't agree more! Heavy burst. Ur heavy armor setup on dk somehow takes that option away. Ravager set could lead the way at least in next patch.
Try to hit em hard as soon as they start spamming their resto heavys and keep ur cc's for those situations and throw in all u got. Making them go defensive offers u lots of pressure and spaming defensive skills will make em dry out.

Judging from the sheer amount of people that constantly run away in f͚͕̓ͬ̇́͜e̹ͪ̌̽̃͡ą͔̦͓͍̳͈͇͙ͮ̇r̶̘͎ͭͤ, there's not nearly enough Immovable being spammed.

Here's one way to stop immoveable spamming. Make it so you need at least 5 pieces of heavy armor to use the skill.

Just hold pressure and let them use many defense and heal skills, they forget to cast immovable for sure.
If they start blocking they already lost the duel in my eyes..

620 armor enchant on jewelry? Please enlighten me on this subject. Where/how can I get something like this? I would love to use some more medium armor pieces for stam regen but haven't because I want a good armor rating.

You can make a gold jewelry enchant which increases your armor rating by 630.

For medium armor it might be useful to take an enchantment for 630 increased spell resistance to softcap both spell resistance and armor rating.
