Um, it did have an effect on combat, people couldn't get to you quickly enough to attack you. Combined with an Elder scroll it made PVP frustrating.
I don't PVP myself, but I do remember people saying how much it sucked when the opposition could grab the scroll and be back in their fort before anyone could catch them.People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

Wow, I didn't know it was that fast, I started to wear this set later and none of my characters is a vampire (because of the looks^^). But quite frankly, it sucks when they nerf something like this while people have it equipped because of these effects. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.1 -
60% speed to nights silence. As it is now, its useless. If your a vamp its the same speed. Id hope we could have stacked vamp and nights silence but alas it doesn't. Hell id use it if it was even30%!
Exactly. I run the same with or without this set now and I think it definitely needs to be fixed. As you said at least 30% but I would like the 60% back.

Selique✭✭✭✭Night's Silence is NOT useless.... Maybe you Vampire people missed the point, but PvP was terrible when people were out running horses, and STEALTHED... No melee person could keep up, and even the Bolt Escapers were sweating to keep pace... And as far as I know, it still gives 60% Speed bonus to stealthed players, just not stacked with the vamp passive.
I am perfectly happy with my NS Set (And I've had it since well before they took the Vamp passive out of stacking). NS+Concealed weapon is ENOUGH. Its plenty fast enough to "sprint" without using as much stamina. I run Night's Silence exclusively on my NB too. Technically, kinda/sorta. Stealthed movement is -60%, Night's Silence and the Vampire Passive are either +60%, or they actually negate the movement penalty (it could go either way, and doesn't really matter which.) And of course, concealed weapon still stacks on top of that for a +25% sneak speed.
What I'm not sure of is if Concealed weapon is half normal movement speed without night's silence, or 2/3s (65%). *shrugs*2 -

And they wouldn't have to be as chatty as the ones from Arena, at least not all of them. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought if you went into sneak you dropped the scroll you were carrying.
