I still remember on one of my first forays into Cyrodil (note: I still really don't PvP, and I tend to only ever go to Cyrodil to grab skyshards) shortly after I hit level 10. I was on my way to get a skyshard, and I saw a resource node that I decided to grab. I got off my horse, went to grab it, and suddenly out of nowhere I got ganked by some guy with a title of Emperor...I will say, however, that I can understand the shock of MMO PvP stealth to someone only just coming across it.
I was totally shocked, but I really couldn't help but laugh at it all.

Solanum✭✭✭There is a very simple trick to becoming invisible, even if you are on an open field during the day in a group of fifty people, you all just need to bend your knees a bit.
Personally I think it's there should be a penalty to stealth if a large group sneaks together. I could imagine one, two or even a group of five sneaking about.
But an army? Nah.0
