I'm in several guilds (I assume most players are as well), and every few minutes I'll get a new notification telling me how random guildie (Insertnamehere) just completed this or that trial in under 300 minutes!. I dont care, I really dont. I do not know this person, they're probably in one of my trading/crafting guilds and not my pve competetive guild, there's nothing special about how slowly they finished the trial run, and I dont care to have my game dinging at me trying to draw attention to their mediocrity.
Please make these notifications optional.

✭✭✭✭✭No, Thank You is an amazing addon. I really hope ZoS gets their head in the game before the console release. While PC players have an option to fix this with an addon, it will just serve as an annoyance to console players without the ability to do that. This isn't a major system change or a new dungeon or class tree. It's a relatively small fix with a major positive impact. I really can't see why it hasn't been fixed yet. It's the absolute definition of low hanging fruit.6 -

Heruthema✭✭✭✭Fantastic Addon. Thanks for this. I am not sure why ZOS will not fix this issue, but until then at least we have an option. ZOS talks a lot about immersion. These notification messages are the most immersion breaking item in this game.
@ZOS please fix this so that we do not have to keep adding mods to compensate for the lack of user options.2 -

I have and use NTY, I have all notifications turned off for all of my trade guilds, and only have them on for my primary guild. I also opted for it to play in my chat box over sending an actual notification. It's probably one of my favorite newer addons right now.Question regarding No, Thank You:

I can't really say anything about the "condescending tone" because if you are in good, busy, full trade guilds, the notifications get old really fast without addon.
You quickly go from "well, this is annoying" to "I don't give a flying skeevers bum what they are doing, shut the d*** thing off!"
Natural chain of events to become angered about something very, very annoying that you can't stop. (nor should we be forced to get an addon to do so)If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!1 -

On and on. This is a terrible idea that almost everyone hates. Someone with a big bat to swing around in upper management clearly thought and still thinks this is a good idea because ZoS obviously has zero interest in removing it. Seriously. Who's idea was this, and why is everyone on the staff so terrified to tell them that the idea sucks?
