Why did you nerf spear shards?

Spear shards is one of the few effective PvP skills in the templar's arsenal, but its Y-axis has been fiddled with so that you cannot throw the spear onto keep walls, on the ground below outposts and various other ledges as you used to be able to.

Why @Zenimax, why? First fiery reach and now this. Why make PvP less and less interesting and diverse all the time?

Now DKs can stand below keep walls and flap their wings uncontested all day long - bravo!

    There were no patch notes about this. Is this another templar ninja nerf?

    Indeed, either they "forgot" to put it in the notes or it is another ninja nerf... and to the class that probably needed it the least.

    I have noticed this as well. Please clarify ZOS! Raining down death from above with BS was such an awsome tool...

    Will they bring the walls down with their firebreath? tbh, I have always had trouble understanding why this is such a common occurrance, and even more weird are the people that still keep sniping them. Why do people do this? Anyway, it's sad if something was once again nerfed :(, I hope the volcanic rune still works?

    Btw, they are nerfing(making it work how other people who are not DKs intend it to in pvp) DK wings. so no need to bring that up to back your protest against ZOS maybe breaking your shards skill. At least for your spear shards it is only temporary till they fix the issue.

    edit: some visual effects get invisible for no reason some times, like my Inner Light and blazing spear in the video.

    Thanks @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ for looking into this. While we are talking about Templar skills can you give us an update on when the "self-stun" Global cooldowns will be removed from templar abilities such as toppling charge and solar barrage (from this thread?

    What patch is this planned for? Having these long standing issues addressed would really remove some of the longstanding frustration for templars.

    I assume the removal of GCDs and other Templar changes (amongst other things) are all coming in Update 6.

    I actually see this happening more often with any ground targeted spells, caltrops, fiery rune, sorc lightning pool(don't laugh).

    Seems that when they have to respond to a Z axis, they end up targeted at caster's feet.

    this all GTAOes are effected
    spelling and grammar errors are free to be abused
