If I feel like questing in cyrodill, it isn't hard. If I don't want confrontation I just simple run from battles or avoid them via sneaking. It adds an extra depth to it if you do it that way. You never know what will happen!
You are all missing the point. It's not going to wreck pve's grinding/questing BECAUSE THERE WILL BE DIFFERENT INSTANCES FOR PVP AND PVE. Therefore if you don't wanna deal with pvp just load into the pve zone.
Yes we have cyrodilll, and yes it can be fun at times, however it almost feels like pvp content for pve players. What i mean by that is that pvp in cyrodill is primarily about strategy and numbers/zerg potential, rather than individual player skill. You spend half your time forming up large groups, waiting for people to group, sneaking across the insanely big map and only a small fraction of your time fighting other players, and even when this happens, its usually an extremely unbalanced fight. At times pvp in cyrodill feels more like a raid (with keeps being the bosses) then actual player versus player content.
Now I'm not fully against cyrodill as an option, however the main problem i see here is a complete lack of alternatives for pvp. There are countless suggestions all over these forums, and I will reiterate/propose the following here:
- A ranked arena for 1 v 1's 2 v 2's 5 v 5's etc
- Pvp minigames, including guild ranks ( 6 v 6 instanced pvp games, i.e capture the flag etc)
- why not create pvp instances of the open world? this is so simple to do, When players enter a zone they have an option for pvp or pve. Only people who want to fight in the open world have to, and this will give people places to fight, hunt and roam for years to come.
The beauty of PvP in MMO's is that it drives guild competition and player improvement, and gives your player base self driven content. You have a great game here and your combat system lends to some awesome Pvp potential, All's i ask is that you give us means by which to engage in meaningful and competitive PvP

okay so just get rid of the megaserver and bring back PVE/PVP servers?

No It's hard enough trying to do the PvE quests Cyrodiil.
I don't want to have to deal with that *** in the PvE areas to

An easily solvable problem. Add a choice to flag yourself for PvP, only those players can participate in PvP.
I mean, anything is better than not being able to see players of other factions in most of the world.
PVE'ers will never understand why we PVPers feel that cyrodiil isn't enough. I recently started playing the game and only because I couldn't see some other good PVP option currently. The PVP is not very strong in this game, I'd like to see more and then I could also convince my whole bunch of friends to join in as they only play for PVP as well...

look I understand where you're coming from. you want to be able to play the game the way you want. we are all here to have fun. surely you can understand though that people play PvE may not wish to deal with all the BS that comes with PvP. the PvE people are playing eso for the same reason you are. they want to be able to play the game the way they want and have fun. that's why I feel they need to find a way to keep both separate and still give everybody access to the content they want to play.

That is exactly what my suggestion achieves if you actually read the post man

and I get that man I really do. but people are going to find ways to use their PvP in the PvE areas to harass people who are trying to do their own thing.
