What made you stop and go "Woah"?

The very first dolmen that I experienced made me go whoa... all stormy and then bam, clear skies, blue water, birds chirping and the sound of townsfolk bantering, the sun beating down on us. Made me go "whoah".

Also, one of the initial main quests where you are walking with the Prophet and an anchor drops down all dramatic-like. Was freakin awesome!

Vaults of Madness. The final boss. The part walking into the cathedral was absolutely breath taking. Then he used that power where he takes all the glass out of the windows and has it enclose him. The part was so spectacular that when it happened it completely incapacitated me took hand off the keyboard and was just awestruck. Then I died.
Zhoyzu - Nightblade Alchemist (v15) RETIRED
    Has-No-Heart - Templar Enchanter (v4) FUBAR
Ambadassador - Dragon knight (v1) Naked with no future (returned from the naked realm to tank PvE)
Sakis Tolis - Sorceror (v10 in progress) Living Legend!

Xuhl'Xotuun - Warden Current Main as im starting the game over essentially with this character aside from crafting.

Creator of Khajiit fall dmg reduction racial passive concept.

I remember seeing that in Beta... I hadn't seen videos or pictures of it before. I had no idea what it even was. It totally made my jaw drop! It STILL feels epic to me.

No pic here, either, but the first time I saw one of the giant mushrooms in Deshaan I was entranced.

And in Glenumbra, there's a big tree in a grove, I can't remember the name of it right now, but I found it gorgeous.

Both of those things still stick with me.:)

I think you're talking about the Wyrd Tree... yea. that place totally took my breath away too!

EDIT: This picture doesn't do it justice....

However it was accidental how big they ended up and in my defence I do dress her very demurely....

I did at one point put some armour on and think WOW where did they come from!!

But even the most disproportionate you can get in ESO isn't as bad as the "normal" proportion in some other games, which is one of the things I really like about ESO.

Share your moments of "Woah".

    I don't have moment's of "Woah".

If it's VERY good I have moments of "incroyable" (it's one of 3 French words I know .. so it's reserved for those very special moments), otherwise I have moments of "Wowsers" and occasionally just "Wow"; which is probably dated I know ... and I'll have to wait until such a moment happens again, and hopefully have the foresight to take a snap.

    Nice thread tho!

I've been a bit unimpressed with the world building to this point though it could be better if I had a more powerful computer. It's just that I started out as AD and found the game to be pretty claustrophobic and minimal. There aren't too many places in the game where you can come over a rise and gaze on the valley bellow. If you do manage to climb a mountain, the artificial fog and distance limiters makes it difficult to really see much.

Some of the lighting effects are cool, and I like the design of a few area. But generally, it feels like a very small compact game as opposed to something more open like LOTRO.

I agree with some of that. I don't have a problem with zone size, but zones seem to feel very closed off and disconnected.

Also really enjoying AD so far, except... Grahtwood. I almost quit the game completely because of grahtwood. That zone makes no sense. I really enjoy the design of the other zones so far though.

Even though this isn't the EXACT image that made me go "woah"... it was when I saw the Mountain of Ash in the distance, glowing through the haze.

Hitting Bal Foyen for the first time back in beta. I spent a lot of time with Morrowind back when it came out, and it was the first time in a good 10 years where I fired up an Elder Scrolls game and was back in that weird world I loved so much.

The day was 22nd of January 2015 and it was my birthday,

Nothing in game made me wow this day..

What made me go wow was going onto my facebook and seeing a post by TESO saying they are going b2p...

    That made me go wow....

    Not in a good way.

More related to this post though... - I have had so many "wow" moments in this game.. I have done 95% of the achievements and achieved ALMOST all there is to achieve.. even pointless things like leveling every skill and every morph to max even though I know I will never use to again...

This game was amazing. Fingers crossed that does not change but meh.. history shows...

A lot of amazing screenshots on this thread, thanks for shareing, when I get home I may upload some if I remember, im at work atm though.

So, you're saying this is your fault? :p

Staying off topic: everything I've seen so far with this suggests it'll be the least offensive transition from a subscription model I've seen.

haha  I am not saying that at all. I think it is the start of the end. I am rich enough to buy what ever I want so when it goes b2w I will be winning but I dont want it to do that...
