Buff Servers, Not Haderus?

I think a lot of people are missing my point. I do not want a dead buff server. I ENJOY going to defend it... But I work 40 hours a week. I need to sleep now and then. And.. I actually really enjoyed breaking up my PVP and spending some time helping out DC in non-vet PVP. Having 2 sides make underhanded deals to team up on a single buff server because they're too cowardly to stand up individually, and they would rather fight only where they have an advantage rather than hitting all 3 buff servers... That's where I call shennanigans. Coming to Haderus and feeling self important because your organized PVP specialists can take out some AD players who just got to Cyrodil trying to defend their home turf while you work in teams with 4-5 guilds from 2 different factions... are you really proud of that?

Please ZOS fix the lag on Thornblade! A server where most of the players are experienced with PVP is the only place where we'll ever see truly challenging fights.

Like it or not Buffs impact the game outside of PVP. You should LIKE this because a lot of players won't bother with PVP otherwise. If you preach that buff servers should not be dead servers let's see you putting your actions where your words are and doing raids on Azura and on Chillrend!

So this is the call to arms! Whose who have AD characters, try playing it from the other side and defend Haderus! This is meant to be a game, and a game is at it's best when most of the players are enjoying it. Good fights all around. Let's stand up for fair fights, and for spreading the love. If AD gets boring again I'll be right back on my DC character helping out where I'm needed.

    Wait...

Did you just ask for people to swap to the most heavily populated faction for Haderus?

    For the sake of competition?

    Hmm.

Let me formulate a proper response to your ridiculous proposition --

    HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA --

    *breathes*

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Hah.

    Hahahahah.

    Heh.

    *sniffs*

    heheh.

Account goes inactive tomorrow (?) I think.

You'll see me around again to check out 1.6 if the patch notes meet my satisfaction. Otherwise, it's unlikely you'll see me again in ESO.

I am actually very optimistic about 1.6. All the changes I know of sound good, save the ulti change. It will be a different game with a brand new theory craft.

I was down provided he didn't use teeth. Since that guarantee was not given, I had to respectfully decline. This relationship has always been open, just ask @aco5712‌!

Last night o Haderus while defending a scroll from EP, I performed some interpretive dance near a fallen EP inside the scroll temple, I don't teabag because my toon doesn't have the right equipment to do so. I then carefully placed an oil pot on his dead body, good times!

This particular EP is a pretty cool dude, we got talking, and he thanked me for the dance and lol'd at me putting the oil on his body. I told him it was the heaviest thing I could find

Ah, Haderus. So much better now you aren't an AD buff server.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

Or, <gasp>, play the servers the way they were intended. The reward for the players who go and fight in AvA is buffs in exchange for their time and efforts. If an alliance does not want to put any effort into a campaign, they get no buffs.

But when 2 decide to team up against 1, then the 1 side puts a WHOLE lot of effort into defending their territory and still lacks the reward.

I find it hilarious that so many of the PVP trolls puff themselves up like they're SOO good because they say that AD has more population on the server than they do.. but half the AD population doesn't even count. Tonight I saw a group of 20 players running around Haderus as a guild to get their skyshards. OMG they were on the PVP server and not PVPing! But that's the intention of the game. There are dozens of quests, dungeons and skyshards in Cyrodil, intended to be experienced by the players. Some of those questers will stop and go defend a keep if they see a need, but you can't do both at the same time so there will always be a percentage of the population there for game enjoyment outside of PVP. Apparently that's enough for people who can only get their ego boost by killing off players who are outclassed. And that's why I suggested... to spread the attention around to the other buff campaigns that are less likely to see it coming and whose PVE players have gotten sleepy and forgotten the thrill of PVP from not having to seriously defend it in too long.

Since clearly the current buff system has.. flaws. What if they changed it so buffs could be earned like the end of campaign rewards? Buffs that don't extend outside of Cyrodil will simply mean that PVE players will have little motivation to go to Cyrodil. Buffs that are won and then lost are frustrating for the players who do put time and effort into earning them only to not have the reward they earned. If your buff were directly related to your end of campaign reward tier it would mean a much more significant reward than the measly scrap of gold they throw, and once people had gone and done their fighting for and "Earned" their buff they would get to keep them for a certain period of time.

The only reason it seems like a purple alliance is because AD caps the whole map as soon as folks log off.

I only been on Had for 2 days as I spent most of my time on thorn, but I have heard the stories of AD notorious "gate camping" and that hasn't sat well with some on both DC and EP and they haven't forgotten that.

They may get caught in the crossfire, but it is a pvp server after all, its to be expected your going to run into other players. I don't think outclassed is the right term, I'd say more inexperienced but they will get better and adjust.

Besides you don't even need those buffs in pve anyways, but capping the map and night capping just drives this behavior, lay off the night capping and the alliances would probably stop, I don't know what else to tell you. Not being snsrky it anything, just saying.

In response to the 'necessary raid buff' thing I'd argue they could always add something thats obtainable out in the world that provides a dungeon-related buff. One thing I noticed every time I cleared one of those atronach crystal mini-boss encounters is it says your spellr esist is increased but its really only like a point or so. I've also noticed there's smashed up dolmens and mundus stones scattered around the landscape that aren't actually identified as such.

In Skyrim there were various quests and environmental events you could complete to gain either temporary buffs or permanent boosts. ZOS should look into implementing something similar that can be obtainable out in Crag or wherever that raiders would/could do for the necessary boost, but the catch is they have to do it before they start since it wouldn't be permanent or would only last until say you logged off.

The thing I don't like about people complaining about 'necessary buffs' goes back to the whole WoW comparison. In vanilla WoW they tuned things hardcore, and tbh it should have stayed that way. There should have been only 2% in the world completing Naxx. There should've been only one or two people with the black quiraji tank and Atiesh. Now adays everyone and their literal mom has legendaries and world/server firsts. Yeah I get that people want to experience content, but Blizz took the easy way out and made all content accessible to everyone. Difficulty became increasingly diluted and now instead of having bosses take months or more to be defeated, you have Method getting world first mythic kills within DAYS of launch, if not hours sometimes.

Hardcore raiders shouldn't shoot themselves in the foot by clamoring for super hard challenging content then demanding round the clock buffs for them. Either get used to not using them as many people have pointed out that it's possible, or get used to fighting tooth and nail like you're meant to.

Keep in mind once IC rolls out, you won't have a choice. Just because you might want to go lollygagging in the sewers when you control the ring doesn't mean the other factions will just go picnic so you can get achievements. They shouldn't.
