Sometime this month? I thought you wanted us to test this thoroughly? It seems like such a big update should be in the PTS for pretty much all of January for us to test it "thoroughly" which implies to me that it would be longer than the other updates. But if you release it anytime after this week then it's not going to get the thorough attention that it needs.

Even if they'd push it to the PTS today, we won't be seeing and testing it before summer anyways because of the standard download time^^

    PTS - THIS MONTH?

You said we're getting live 1.6 first week of febuary. Somehow I fail to see "Pts somewhere this month" with early febuary release of 1.6

In reality, the original post said the next day after January 1. This was changed (as I have checked now) to be somewhere in January. Too bad they ¿lied? to us.

Maybe it's true, but they meant January 2016 ;)

Oh man they would have to shut down the forums for that one....

I'm sorry ZoS, but you guys need to get it up on the PTS sooner rather than later IMO. We've already been waiting far too long for "new content" and this is only coming to test server. I don't really care about the "it's a big one" excuse either. It needs to be up and tested so it can go live so you guys can maybe get us a patch sometime before 3 months of time since the last patch went live.

Between some of the decisions made for this new system and the fact that we only had one new zone (that was being worked on before launch and supposed to be in at launch) and new vet dungeons as the only added content since launch so far makes me worry about what the future holds. F2P/B2P games get updates every few months, that's not what is expected in a sub game.

This month, as in the last day of the month. LOL

Its safe to assume it will not be this week. Could still be next week.

We have a joke in our guild. Anytime someone bugs or comes across imbalance or some other garbage we say "1.6 will fix that"

Do I dare say forget lord D tick and hail lord 1.6?

At the risk of going against the seemingly general consensus here...

We all complain like crazy when patches come out & are full of bugs, yet everybody is seemingly now saying 'We don't care that ZoS clearly needs a bit more time... we just want it now bugs & all'!

Given the state of previous patches then to be honest if they need a couple more weeks then let them have it! I'd rather that than risk it coming out with the bugs that will come from 2 weeks less dev work going into it.

(Its inevitable it will have a lot of bugs anyway.... I just want there to be LESS of them!).

I think you're missing the bigger picture. I don't think most of the complaints are about the update coming late itself, for whatever reason, it's that the subscription model of $15/mo was justified with a 6 week content release schedule.

It does not really matter why it is what it is or that the update needs to be more polished. I think it's perfectly valid for people to get upset when the aforementioned justification is not upheld, especially to this extent.

I do get that this is a big update though, however, in the future I think it would be better to ensure that updates aren't that big so they can get content out more regularly, as originally intended.

I guess you could also say the holidays came at an inconvenient time :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I have no doubts about the wait for Update 6 being worth it though!

No I just think that the lack of clear communication is pissing people off. Clear answers are going to keep subs.....this OZ great and powerful nonsense will lose subs.

    Impossible to tell.

It could be this week, but my money is on the middle of next week.

I was surprised that they announced 1.5.8 this early.

watching eso live 8 @ZOS_Maria_Aliprando. She more or less begged ppl to sign up for 1.6 PST.

..... .....erm (cough) ... . .. It would be nice to have a week or so heads up of when PST is going to take place! (so we can down load the huge file- for us never in PST). In order to facilitate your testing expectations. No!?

Is that too much to ask?

the gripe isnt about if it come out in 2016....its the fact that ZOS keeps telling us things and dropping the ball. just answer questions from your customers instead of say " o sometime in Jan" when they said before " the first week in Jan" . If ZOS cant at this exact moment sit down and tell us when 1.6 is hitting PTS then they got some serious issues to sort out...and should just tell us that. but they wont...because that would lose them money.

Be smart, maybe they've found some bugs or some obstacle on developing new patch? a sure date is unpredictable , unless is all already done. It's a damn big patch, it's not just random fix.

I still feel they should make 1.6 testing open to the public. Like a second beta test. A lot of people who left want to try this to see if its worth coming back for...

'Cause nothing says the game has improved like being able to test code that's even buggier than usual. I can read the reviews on the justice and champion system now from the five minutes Angry Joe gave it on the PTS.

How did Angry Joe test the justice system on the PTS if it isnt even available yet ? i think you might be mistaken

It was a joke because Angry Joe based his entire review off of beta footage and only got to level 10. And that's what he would do if he hopped on the PTS.

Hah I fell for it thinking it would be on PTS early so it would release on time in February. I was even worried for a moment I wouldn't have time to make another VR alt. Silly me, of course I have plenty of time.
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.
