If ESO had a cash shop for vanity items, what do you think would be in it?

I'd like to see a one-time access to a wizard that lets me turn my existing mount into something else. A clannfear, a sabrecat, a giant dog, etc.

I want to ride a Clannfear, or even a small dragon. Why don't we have any exotic mounts anyways? Just because horses are the main source of transportation in the series, doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to tame other creatures.

In fairness, I imagine it'd be lorebreaking. I haven't played any of the other Elder Scrolls games extensively enough to remember what people have used for mounts through the ages.

WoW cash shop exists as a website for ages now. They put it in the game a year or so ago. FFXIV ARR has now a website cash shop with the same kind of utility items. It doesn't bother me. What I don't like is LOTRO or SWTOR type, where you have announcements and messages advising you to buy stuff - in LOTRO, even being a lifetime subscriber. I think these things break the immersion and ruin the virtual world atmosphere of mmorpgs.

I will be leaving if they bring out paid for content such as new areas, payable races, new abilities or increased levels.
Paying for extras such as pets and mounts does not bother me, so long as their "equals" are available for in game money. For Example, I don't care if someone gets to ride a senche, so long as it functions the same as a horse. If the Senche mount can fight, then they should allow horses to fight too or allow the senche to be bought in game for gold.

I pay my subs, so therefore I should be getting the whole game. Subs should pay for the development of the game, before and after launch.

Dude they already have that. You have to pay to be an Imperial!

I would rather they added an actual pet shop in game, where they only ask for in game cash.

Great idea and it would be another good way to remove money from the game with pets starting from basic like a skeever for 1,000 gold up to a baby dragon for 1,000,000 gold.

Have not read the whole thread but here is my opinion:

Pets and costumes that are not lorebreaking and fit aesthetically into Tamriel.
I personally think it to be very stupid to waste money on vanity items - but if some people are willing to do ZOS gets more money --> more Money to spend on important things

They already added mounts and races so no reason to comment....

This is maybe a bit offtopic: But ZoS, please stick with ONE mount typ. Improve on the feeding system, add options to breed horses, change the appearances, armor, etc.

Just imagine Cyrodiil with all different kind of mounts jumping around...

I don't think Race Change would be all that great, as each race has their own bonus stats and would make it so someone could make the perfect character. While I'm not against it, I don't think it would be a good idea.

I second that. If it affects in game character mechanics, I say it should be a no-go.

Eh, I don't want any kind of a shop. Everything should cost in-game gold.

That said, if the player base overwhelmingly demands that ZOS starts to flaws them for more money, ZOS should probably do it. They can then hire more devs and put out even more content.

I feel you. I love sub based games to get away from cash shops. This whole sub based and vanity shop is just ridiculous and I don't get how people are begging for it.

I see people complaining that they got rid of the 6 month sub and now they won't save $24 a year then begging for a $15 mount. WTF people?!?!?

Personally, I'm begging for a cash shop because I like keeping my options open. Sometimes I have extra money left in my budget, but I don't have extra TIME in my budget. Getting gold in-game takes time. Some people can gather it faster than others, but it's time all the same. If I can pay $19.99 to get a special mount or vanity pet I really like, instead of something like 75,000 gold, I'd probably choose to do so, because I don't have to farm mobs/quests.

On the other hand, I could easily choose to go the in-game route if my pockets are stretched thin, and I have an abundance of time on my hand. I work at a school, so summer vacation is just "play for hours and hours and hours" time, but come August, I barely get to put in 10 hours a week.
