    I see no reason to even continue playing if they strip me of all my achievements (but leave me with the hollow titles) if my choice as a V14 is to slowly grind daily pledges and other once a day content (or once a week) compared with a V1 that has all of their Silver and Gold content to do (along with lower/upper crag, DSA, etc) then I am most likely going to be looking for a new game to spend my money on (well I'm already looking)

    My god, some of you guys are drama queens.

    Rebalancing ult gains so it's equal across different builds isn't that bad at all. Being able to use my ultimate once every minute seems like a dream to my tank.

    Well they should leave it in the PTS longer, which I believe this time they will since rumor says Update 6 won't hit live until February. Honestly I hope that's true, which means heavy testing.

    I just don't see them changing it if the in-house testers (if they have those) are okay with things and how they work. I don't see them changing things until it hits PTS and they get feedback from it. All I can say is download the PTS server and test it. EVERYONE should honestly. You want this game to be major bug free? Then download PTS and report bugs, the more people that play the more people that report a bug and the more likely ZOS sees that it's a major one.

    I am just saying that I am not judging the system they have coming out until I have tried it, it just doesn't make any sense to me. If I hate it after testing it, then I'll jump on that boat and just deal with the new system until they fix it. I respect what you're saying, ZOS also does listen to the forums a lot so you have that going for you but I am just not sure they are going to change it before it hits PTS.

    I'd just like to point out that while I'm nervous about what ZOS will be doing with VR's and the quests we've completed and the POTENTIAL exp lost to all of them... There has been ZERO confirmation that we will not be awarded that exp when they finally remove VRs.

    IF they go back on their word, I say "IF" because it hasn't happened yet, then I'm gone. That's just too much "We're going to even everyone out" for me to handle (twice now: Undaunted Ranks anyone?). Again, that's still an if, since it has not be confirmed that we are ONLY getting the 30 CP.

    I, for one though, am happy about most of the changes, especially to ultimate gain. Don't tell me you can run trials without it because I've got a guild full of mates that will tell you otherwise. The only issue I have with the "Ultimate Debacle" is that ZOS let it be a spammable ability for so long when it was originally meant to be used once a fight at the most. They have no one to blame but themselves for responding so slowly to a system that they never intended to be used that way. It's what happened when they scrapped Finesse and NEVER accounted for ultimate gains and the effect it would have on combat. THAT nerd rage is on them. But only the nerd rage.

    So complain about the ult gain, complain about "nerfs" that haven't happened yet, hell complain about the WAY they are letting us gain ultimate (light and heavy attacks only? WTF... why not just doing damage at all?)... but complaining about losing exp for quests that NO ONE HAS SAID we'll be losing the exp with yet is a perfect example of extreme overreaction.

    Again, it hasn't been confirmed. It hasn't been denied, but it also hasn't been confirmed. Once it is, well... Then ZOS will lose a LOT of players, and I'm ready for that. They might be too.

    ZOS didn't have to let anyone know any thing but they have taken the time to post a 2 and half hour video with a good portion dedicated to touching on break downs of a new update coming. They have been very good about releasing test and live patch notes. Many people hear something and take it out of context or take it as verbatim instead of something they would like to do. This is an MMORPG in you mind whatever you read about future plans should be framed this is what we would like to do. It seems to me that a ton of people have played to VR14 with the idea that ZOS was obligated to give them some reward beyond end game content. I really think the OP should move on I doubt the game is even close to fun for them anymore. Me I am going to go play my next alt who is headed for level 50 (VR1).

    The old system was fine (except for out-of-combat-healing).
    I get that they also want tanks to get ultimate points so why not only implement the "nerf" to healing and the new buff-thing while still keeping the rest the way it was? :(

    You perhaps have not seen what has been posted in other threads then, because the German community manager clearly stated that currently ZoS is not planning to award champion points based on veteran exp earned when veteran ranks are removed in 1.7.

    Everyone with at least one vr1 will be receiving 30cp and that is it.

    I'm sorry but generating ultimate by spamming healing spirings outside of combat was never an intended mechanic and its about time they fixed this bug.

    Ultimate is supposed to just that. It should be meaningful and use should be thought out, not just something you can have on demand like a potion.

    Besides they are changing a lot, we don't even know for sure how everything is going to play out. I was kinda bummed about the sorc vhanges I heard, but they didn't say much and its to early to be flipping out before we know the whole story. Lets wait on the PTS.

    Don't you think that before you freak out you should at least wait until you can try the system? If PVE has been re-balanced in 1.6 I would certainly hope that the balancing takes into account the changes to ultimates. There's really no use in speculation until you can see all changes at work. So just calm down, maybe it'll be better than you think.

    i don't think anyone is upset about nerfing out of combat ultimate generation

    pvp always basically turns into one build anyway, ZOS should just make 3 pvp only skill lines, and a pvp skill bar and be done with it.

    As i mentioned i said single target, not aoe... and lol you shouldn't get ult from healing someone whos taking no damage, thats a change that needed to happen. (how much ult do i get from doing 0 damage?)
    As for blocking you're only blocking if you're the tank, otherwise it accounts for like 0.5% of your ult gen. blocking in pvp if far far far more common.
    and with all buffs there are major and minor, so yes you can stack ult gens.

    This delusional moaning, where people assume all evil in Tamriel is due to PvP, it's getting a bit tiresome. This isn't a single player game, where individual power doesn't affect others. We're not allowed to be over-tuned deities, even if we only slay scripted dragons. PvE is an equally big factor when it comes to these boring (or needed) in-game changes.

    There's never been a single green response or clarification about the ulti nerf or fix, that talks about PvP exclusively. The info we have is rather pointing in many directions. It seems to be a PvE fix as well, to balance the ulti gain between roles and builds. Tanks lack of ulti gain, compared to heal and dps, is being mentioned for example. Which literally has nothing to do with PvP, since traditional tanks only exists in dungeons and trials.

    Bruh, how do you think I build ulti in pvp currently? Cyrodiil is littered w/ dead wolves. Come 1.6, whole raids can just build ulti off of wolf packs, you'll see them just standing there 5 ppl to a wolf just light attacking every 8 sec. 1st step when setting siege? "Everyone stand around the guards and begin your light attack rotation!". Taking a resource? "Light attacks on mender now!" Going into the breach? "Sorcs turn your light attack macro on, we go in in 2 min. Rest of you guys can take a bio." Truly improved game design. :o

    I just looked over this whole thread, and didn't see a single cogent explanation describing how these changes are "a slap in the face." Is context that difficult to put into a conversation, or should I assume that someone will quote this and be astonished that I didn't find some obscure reference in a video most people haven't watched?

    I can infer from the posts that someone is mad about ultimate generation. If you need to drop an ultimate for every PvE encounter, I don't think you should be mad at Zenimax.

    Someone brought up yesterday that since damage reduction is a major buff you will no longer be able to stack something like a Nova and a Veil of Blades in the same spot. If that's true I'm not bothering to run anything.

    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    So, the end-game of ESO has always been designed to be PVP oriented, with PVE contents. Not the other way round. And to be honest, this has already happened, since I could see great additions to the PVE contents be released in the last 6 months.

    Now let's come back to the initial post. I really think that you should try the changes on the PTS prior to complaining about the possible consequences of such changes, and then report your feedback, so ZOS can make some adjustment to the new combat system they plan to release. For instance, they may change a few 1H and a shield abilities, or heavy armor abilities, to help tanks recharge their ultimates.
