Now how hard was that? That's all we wanted. Instead of watching players create a hundred threads and speculate for weeks, take a minute to give us a little bit of solid information.
Since they have supposedly been keeping track of earned XP after you've reached VR14, my characters should be the equivalent of VR25 by now. Hopefully that will net me quite a few champion points.

Yep, you'll get more than someone who is only VR1, bu the 'headstart' amount will be capped to a certain amount. They don't want people to be too powerfull right out of the gate.

Actually that was explained in the audio guild summit dedicated to CS however long ago they did it.
One question.
as @ZOS_TristanK pointed out each alt has access to that pool of 20 CP. But my question is (I believe Tristan clarified this but making sure) do each of my lower level alts have access to 20CP each or have to share the 20cp my lv 50+ created?
Say I have one lv 50+ and two lv. 15's. My 50+ has earned 20 CP. Does each alt get its own 20CP or do they share it from one 20CP pool created by the level 50+?

That may be so, but if they simply would have posted that same information in print on this forum it would save a lot of hassle. I don't listen to guild summit audio or ESO live videos or try to decipher the content or what they were implying, and there are a lot of other players that don't either. We just want straight-forward information that we don't have to decipher from an audio or video stream. They can't seem to do that unless we create a hundred threads and beg.
Each alt will have their own pool of 20 champion points that were generated by your level 50 character. One question.

Not all of us have time to spend 20 hours listening to guild summit recordings, you know. Written recaps would be very welcome - made by ZOS, not a third party. I'm hoping for an article like the one they did for writs, but this time before the Champion system arrives.BalerionBlackDread wrote: »@ZOS_TristanK

So they have guild summits where they go into painstaking details about all this and have bi-monthly ESO Live events where they also go into details about all this and have conferences at Quakecon that you can watch but you don't want to watch or listen to any of that. However, you do want to complain that they don't provide information?
It's amazing the amount of misinformation about this being posted..even in this thread...even after an official post stating the factual information. Amazing. People just don't listen or hear what they want to hear then complain about things that are not even correct or about the lack of communication. Mind is officially boggled.

I'm a little worried that immediate access to CP will make pre-50 content even easier than it already is, which would be unfortunate, but I guess I'll have to wait and see.
I have listened to the entire video and here are the specific highlights in regards to Champion Points, how they're earned, and how they're spent.
Marie (couldn't understand last name) @ 42:47
"New progression system that will allow your character to advance & progress past LvL 50. So once you hit LvL 50, there's another progression system that opens up and you can start spending more points in that system, and that system is Champion."
(You must have at least 1 LvL 50 in order to unlock the Champion system)
Marie @ 43:13
"All the characters on your account get the benefits you have earned and this includes you non-LvL 50 characters. Soon as you hit LvL 50, Champion unlocks for you account. You can start spending CP on your LvL 50 character & you can spend them on your non-LvL 50 characters. Those points are not shared. So if you have 50 CP, you can spend 50 CP on your highest LvL character & you can spend 50 CP on your alts. You will be able to respec it, per character."
(ALL 8 characters get to spend the entire pool independently)
Marie @ 45:12
"Ok, so Champion is also earned account wide. You earn though XP and only LvL 50's can earn towards the next CP."
(Non-LvL 50's do NOT earn credit towards CP, not in the traditional sense. A problem with this was brought up about Altoholics that have NO Veteran characters to which Paul Sage said "Now they have a reason to hit LvL 50." Personally I think that's a low blow for players who love playing alts and don't care about hitting 50, they will never have access to the Champion system)
Marie @ 1:27:36
"There will be a way for people to catch up and it's called Enlightenment."
(She actually misunderstood the question from the Guild panel which was about players catching up to future tiered/season gear)
Marie @ 1:28:40
"Enlightenment boosts the XP earned towards CP only. So it works on your LvL 50 character, because only LvL 50's can earn CP and it boosts the XP you earn towards the next CP. You accumulate Enlightenment as long as a LvL 50 character exists on your account. Your account will earn Enlightenment while on alts so when you go back to your LvL 50, boom you have Enlightenment."
(She specifically said this is a timer based system, maybe every 10 minutes, that works even offline or standing in town doing nothing. Sounds like a form of Rested XP to me. She said they're looking at an Enlightenment cap of about how much it takes to earn 1 CP)
So it's your account that earns CP, at a slow rate and with an artificial cap until the Enlightenment is used by a LvL 50 character. Or you can power level that CP by jumping on your highest VR character. On the issue of how long it'll take to cap, it's FAR longer than many would like but I think it's great that they have it set to take that long... Hint, nobody will be at cap before the end of 2015

The odd thing is, that the bit of information he just told you was stated quite sometime ago...
.....in a video that not everyone bothers to watch or even knew about. It's a simple concept. This is their official forum. Post the information in a sticky and everyone will know. I guess Zenimax finds the concept of posting easy to find written information on their own official forum too mind boggling to comprehend. You post a thread with all the relevant information for all to see from an official source, and there will be near-zero questions and no random speculation.

As an example, say you have a level 50 character who has earned 20 champion points to date. When you make a brand new level one character, you will automatically have 20 champion points to spend on that character if you'd like. And your level 15 character who you've had since launch will have had access to each champion point as your level 50 character unlocked them.
Basically each of your characters will have their own pool of points that can be spent independently but are earned collectively by your level-50 characters. When your level 50 character earns another champion point, the pool of points will increase by 1 for each of your other characters.
We hope this helps to clarify things a bit!

This is all good and make sense to have a pool of Champion points that all your level 50 earns.
What NOT make sense is that all characters on your account can use all points, even if they are used already.
If Char A, level 50, earn 1 Champion point, then you could use that on any char in your account.
Thats fine. But WHY is that champion point isnt used? Like skill points?
Why let ALL chars use all points no matter if they get used by another char?
You already stated that there will be a "respec" option where used champion points goes back to the pool. This is fine too.
But WHY can Character B use the points that Character A ALREADY used?
What is the reason behind this?

For the sake of making the math easier lets assume that the 100days played was all done at lvl50+. ZOS mentioned that a CP would take roughly 1 hr to acquire.ZOS_TristanK wrote: »While characters under level 50 cannot earn champion points, they will be able to spend champion points that are earned by your level 50 characters.

@ZOS_TristanK
Who will have more champion pts for their v14 character? Someone w 1 vr14 character that has 100 days played but no alts or someone w a vr14 character and a vr10 alt character w a total of 100 days played?
Or will those two mains have about the same cps?
@Cuyler My guess is...it's easier to get CPs at VR1 to VR5...and gets extremely difficult to get CPs at VR14+...mainly because of what is available.
As a VR14 player, I have done every WB, solo dungeon, cadwell gold/silver, public dungeon, group dungeon available. PvP wise, I'm nearly a captain. I have no alts.
For me to get +1 CP, my options are severly limited.
Now if I had a VR1 alt, and had alllllll those WB/Cadwells/quest options available to me, then I'm rolling in the CPs.
Basically, it sound like a system where you can level your main character FASTER, by levelling a bunch of alts....which I will never do.
I feel the strength of my main character should have nothing to do with my alts.
whiteshadow711jppreub18_ESO wrote: »whiteshadow711jppreub18_ESO wrote: »which can be interpreted as all characters on the account, those lvl 1-49 even.
No, not to characters that are level 1-49, you only get access to Champion points when you are at level 50/VR1.
So let me give you another example, right now I have 8 characters, 3 are VR level, I have a VR14 Khajiit Nightblade (my main Kotaro Atani) and I have a VR4 (almost VR5) Argonian Nightblade (Saliltul) and I have a VR1 Vampire Khajiit (Cat Er Roh), my other 5 Alt's are low level I have like 3 that are around level 8-10 and 2 characters that are like level 15-20.
When the Champion System goes live only my three VR leveled characters will get champion points, why?? Well...because Kotaro Atani, my VR14 level character, who I have played on the most will get a specific amount of champion points, lets say I get like 25 (totally made up number, we don't know how much we will get), then all my VR level characters will get 25 each since it's a account wide system.
my other 5 Alt's who are not level 50/VR1 will not get access to any champion system points until, I get them to the VR1.
You might want to read the official ZOS response above you
Wow that is fine with me then, I figured it was only when you hit VR level the way they were talking.
Ok, so we can use champion points on a non VR level character but we cannot earn them until they are at VR level, good to know..
