Just sayin'.

I am not sure if this is intended to create a bias in favor of RPG games. The content on the web site is skewed in that direction and so people attracted to RPGs will be a more dominate population. Are they stacking the deck or do they really intend for the visitors to an RPG-oriented website to decide whether they like RPG or non-RPG games better?
Next nail biter, Elder Scrolls Online vs the Commodore 64 Barbie game.
P.S. - Voted for ESO. MMORPG wins over MMOFPS in my book, title does not matter.

@Sypster/blog: Elder Scrolls Online. Almost everything that Elder Scrolls has historically been about, ESO was not, starting with a lack of a sandbox world. The over-reliance on the single-person instanced story, the botched grouping mechanics, and the "had to rewrite it on the fly" endgame took what should have been instant gold and made it a mere silver. Plus, there's the issue of the console release being (indefinitely?) postponed, making PC players feel as though they are continuing to pay for beta testing what the "real" players will get later on.
What is the problem with Wildstar? I guessed it would have some problems as it targeted WOW players who mostly would return to WOW then out of content but it looks like its far worse problems.Heh regarding the biggest disappointments award:@Sypster/blog: Elder Scrolls Online. Cant help but agree with him. Wouldn't call it the biggest disappointment though, Wildstar was way worse 8D

Pretty damned funny that WoW is losing to Lotro. Could be wow haters voting for spite, or it could be that WoW just retains subs even though its own player base understands how outdated and watered down it has become. It's remarkable either way.

Or they don't care?
And, yes, I am a fan of LotRO... they do amazingly well each time for their perceived player base.

You could say that about any game on this list.
And at least lotro still makes you earn things. WoW gives everything to everyone on a silver platter these days. There is absolutely zero challenge in any phase of the game anymore. Doesn't surprise me at all that it's losing. It was a monster for a decade, and is still going strong, but it's just not all that anymore. Just because it has the most subs doesn't mean it's the best game. And that is what the vote is for.
