Why is negate magic breakable ?

Greetings,

I have just seen, that negate magic is breakable, when you use a CC break.
Why is that so ? I mean, this makes no sense. Is this only a bug and will be changed soon ?

I'm trying to figure out, what ultimate to choose for duels and Sorcerer only has crap. Negate is breakable (as if the small radius wouldn't be already enough to make it weak) Atronach can be stunned, feared or you simply run a few meters and Overload makes us very vulnerable and blocking and reflecting makes it useless anyway.

But I don't want to complain :) I only wanted to ask, if the thing with Negate magic is intended or not. Because just breaking the dark field, should not make you immune to it, it makes no sense.

I could ask the same of Eclipse.

On the other hand, Negate Magic has no AoE cap, hence its power in zerg PvP.

If you were really looking for a good Ult in duels, I'd recommend the overload morph that regens magicka when you hit someone with a heavy or light attack.

The reason why I recommend it, Is it allows a third ability bar so you get 15 skills instead of 10, and the ultimate light attacks do pretty decent damage.

How do you slot those skills?

Activate overload. Fill skill bar the same way you filled the others.

Negate does have an AoE cap. Try walking onto 20 mobs and casting it. Only 6 get stunned.

Also, I agree that it's quite silly if it can be CC broken. I've never seen that and didn't know it could, but that doesn't make any sense.

Its area of denial. The only counter should be to move out of that area.

Indeed, it makes no sense. It's a dark area, which negates any magic and breaking free from it, without leaving (the laughable small radius) is not realistic.

And Energy Overload only restores Magicka on light attacks and as I said, it's not so usefull in PvP, since many people use reflects nowadays and shield and swords and Dragonknights are the reason, why I wanted to use Negate Magic, since they are a pain for me.
