@ZOS we need clarification on this topic there is just to much conflicting information/opinions.

The only resource for the answer is the audio from the guild summit which, as it was stated, is up for interpretation considering the amount of conflicting comments on the forums.

I'll also be posting direct quotes from the summit audio shortly. Thanks in advance.

It is my understanding that you can't use Champion points before level 50.

As far I know yes, its just that they can not earn them.

If they wanted us to know (or even knew themselves) exactly how it is going to work, they would put it in writing in an official post, instead of leaving everyone to speculate.

There are only two ways about it. Either they purposely want to keep players in the dark, or they have no clue themselves.

Make sure to add even more spots for exploration, training, and well-fitted. Not enough darts landed on those last time......

I guess this means we won't hear the answer until after the holiday party :pensive:

With the system hitting the PTS in early January I figure that they have an idea. Talk about a last minute decision if not.....

I just checked the Guild summit Audio for the Champion system,

you can listen to it here LINK

and Maria/ESO PO (point of contact for the Champion system) advised from time stamp: 42:28 to 43:01, that after level 50 you start the Champion system, and you get Champion points only after level 50/VR1.

So lets say you don't have any higher level characters and just joined the game and the Champion Sytem is already in place, you do not get any champion points until you earn them through gameplay on your character, you will have a new bar that tracks this progress to a new champion point. If you do have other higher level characters, for example a VR14 Nightblade, then you will already have a set number of champion points and they can be used on any character that is Level 50/VR1 or above as it is a account wide system.

You start to acquire them post level 50. We don't know if you'll only be able to spend them post-50 as well, or if any level alt can make use of them.

Yes we can all agree that to earn CPs you need to be 50+. The CS is unlocked at lvl 50 for the whole account, which can be interpreted as all characters on the account, those lvl 1-49 even. But what is not explicitly stated is,

Do characters have to be lvl 50 to use CPs? or just to earn CPs?

While characters under level 50 cannot earn champion points, they will be able to spend champion points that are earned by your level 50 characters.

As an example, say you have a level 50 character who has earned 20 champion points to date. When you make a brand new level one character, you will automatically have 20 champion points to spend on that character if you'd like. And your level 15 character who you've had since launch will have had access to each champion point as your level 50 character unlocked them.

Basically each of your characters will have their own pool of points that can be spent independently but are earned collectively by your level-50 characters. When your level 50 character earns another champion point, the pool of points will increase by 1 for each of your other characters.

We hope this helps to clarify things a bit!

Are there any collective CP's to be spent? Something that benefits all your characters rather than just drawing from solely from their own pool.

No, not to characters that are level 1-49, you only get access to Champion points when you are at level 50/VR1.

So let me give you another example, right now I have 8 characters, 3 are VR level, I have a VR14 Khajiit Nightblade (my main Kotaro Atani) and I have a VR4 (almost VR5) Argonian Nightblade (Saliltul) and I have a VR1 Vampire Khajiit (Cat Er Roh), my other 5 Alt's are low level I have like 3 that are around level 8-10 and 2 characters that are like level 15-20.

When the Champion System goes live only my three VR leveled characters will get champion points, why?? Well...because Kotaro Atani, my VR14 level character, who I have played on the most will get a specific amount of champion points, lets say I get like 25 (totally made up number, we don't know how much we will get), then all my VR level characters will get 25 each since it's a account wide system.

my other 5 Alt's who are not level 50/VR1 will not get access to any champion system points, until I get them to the VR1.

Since they have supposedly been keeping track of earned XP after you've reached VR14, my characters should be the equivalent of VR25 by now. Hopefully that will net me quite a few champion points.

Wow that is fine with me then, I figured it was only when you hit VR level the way they were talking.

Ok, so we can use champion points on a non VR level character but we cannot earn them until they are at VR level, good to know..

"I have no hatred for the races of Man, but they are young. Like all children, they are driven by emotion. They lack the wisdom that comes with age. I would sooner place an Altmer infant on the Ruby Throne than surrender Tamriel to their capricious whims. The Altmer, the Bosmer and the Khajiit share the common traits of intelligence, patience and reason. We do not seek riches or plunder. Domination is not our goal, nor is the acclamation of power for its own sake. Today we make our stand. Today we take back the Ruby Throne, which is ours by ancient right and the blessings of the Divines. Stand with us." ―Your Queen Commands, Ayrenn Arana Aldmeri.(All 18 characters are AD only!

    Thank you.
