Bugs.

I didn't specifically mean a cash shop. I meant any form of a sort of DLC. Cash shops would be the end of ESO as we know it. I'm referring more to as like how WoW and Wizard 101 did it.
Also, as another idea, what if they had a cash shop that didn't have anything useful, moreso just vanity items such as costumes that we could wear for RP situations or just to be random, or vanity pets that, unlike pets that fight, would act like the monkey, mud crab, or the other vanity pets and just followed you around? People would just pay to look cooler, but they would be no better than anyone else as their combat gear wouldn't change and could only be obtained through hard work.
With that idea, we could have a sort of item fusion where you take the stats of one item and the look of another and combine them. Wizard 101 did that and so did Neverwinter. That would allow us to change our looks, but again the stats would only come through hard, honest work. I think that seems fair to have a cosmetic shop.

Interesting because just about EVERY MMO out there that's a sub based game has some form of a cash shop. The difference is vanity/utility purchases vs pay wall purchases.ers101284b14_ESO wrote: »I don't care what you call it, DLC, vanity, transmute whatever. If you pay extra it's a cash shop. What I could care less if it was in an ESO Cash Shop: (Vanity/Utility)
- Race change.
- Faction change.
WW/Vampire weakness to Poison/Fire doesn't work the way you think it does. The only benefit an Argonian/Bosmer gets in being a WW is they don't have to wear a Poison resist Neck in order to be at the 50% hard cap. Same goes for Dunmer that are Vampires. The different Racials at VR14 make a very small difference, and nobody would have "an edge" or be superior to another just by changing Race.darkspyro92_ESO wrote: »I don't think these should be in as each race has their own bonuses and would give bonuses to players who change their race just to fit their character. While I think not being able to see their bonuses in character creation isn't fair to players, being able to change your race later by paying a few bucks is a bit less fair as you could gain an advantage. Advantages such as WW and Argonian combo. Argonians natural poison resistance at max level is double that of how much is taken away by WW. Those who go WW could just change to that to negate the poison deficiency, and it would get a bit unbalanced.
Faction change just couldn't be done. While I think it's a pretty cool idea, it's not possible to really do as each faction starts in a different zone, has different quests, and works differently in PvP, as well as having their own set races (unless you buy the Imperial edition).

Faction change is completely possible. The quests are identical when you hit Veteran, just scaled. A level 3 DC character in Glendumbra does the exact same quests as a VR6 AD character when they do Glendumbra. PvP would work exactly the same way, the character would just be on Blue instead of Yellow after the change if they went AD > DC.
They would do it the same way other MMO's do it. If you were level 20 and had all FG/MG storylines done up to and including level 20 those would be checked off as done. All quests you completed up to level 20 that are no more than zone quests/main story would be considered done once you reach that zone again in Veteran ranks, which is my guess how they'd do it. You would however have the zone quests in your new Faction up to level 20 to do, therefore not unbalancing anything.darkspyro92_ESO wrote: »And what if a level 20 changes factions? I played on oceanic servers in WoW (Wrath Era) when Wintersgrasp was entirely Alliance dominated. The only way to do the Vault of Archon raid was to have your alliance own it, and so a lot of horde players were missing out.
Suddenly - mass exodous of Horde on that particular server, and grouping was quite difficult, seeing as all the players were now Alliance.
I reckon the same thing would happen, if EP was dominating, then everyone would go EP, or DC, or AD. Whatevers.

You are of the minority in that MOST players could care less if ESO had a Cash Shop for Vanity/Utility items (no Pay Wall crap). This is a fact due to the overwhelming popularity to Cash Shops in nearly every MMO, P2P or F2P. WoW has had a Cash Shop for a VERY long time and it never once affected their sub numbers, but they also don't have any Pay Wall things like Gear, etc.Rift introduced item shop - Sub Cancelled
SWTOR introduced item shop - Sub Cancelled
Tera introduced item shop - Sub Cancelled
Fallen Earth introduced item shop - Sub Cancelled
only exeption was:
World of Warcraft introduced Elves in Horde - Sub Cancelled
(now they have Pandas so i guess that was good call)
The same would go for ESO no matter how much i love it.
Why do I prefer subs?
1. Equality
2. No G.I.R.L.S (Guys In Real Life) with final fantasy spiky haircut and anime-schoolgirl vanity outfits riding a kawaii pink squirrel mounts with pink rainbow fairies following them doing a disco dance.
