The servers crashed 15 minutes ago, and no one is able to log back in. Characters that were in Cyrodiil when it crashed get stuck on "Requesting character load" forever.
Logging in to characters in PVE zones seem to work fine.

Weird, I was able to log right in on my character in Craglorn. Might be more zones than just Cyrodiil that are down then.1 -

go and create banana char - insta log, no problem. Im running in Auridon with lvl 16 alt, no problem at all. Can also go to Haderus campaign or log DC alt to Chillrend, both are working fine. 1 -

I'm pretty sure they do not sleep, such system facilities do require people 24/24 and they do have alarms even for soft failures. No way they cannot detect such an issue within a second, trust them.
So, obvious reasons I see now are: either they cut it on purpose because they add an attack from real people with real armors and real swords, or they get an UFO crash on the main power building, or they are bored with all this stuff and they are now implementing a MMORPG based on rows and columns of candies you can move with your finger on the screen.
I cannot see any other reason... oh yes, I forgot, of course they can sleep and forget to add a coin in the counter.1 -
