What happened to the "fall" forum update?

Am I crazy, or is fall over? Is December still fall? I'm mainly just hoping for a much better dev tracker and fewer French and German posts plastered all over it. Is that even part of the plan?

Edit: Well to answer my own question, apparently winter doesn't officially begin until December 21. Don't know how I managed to get to middle age without knowing that. Carry on!

They changed the dates for Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer about a decade and a half ago. Now Sumer and Winter start just before the Summer and Winter Solistice (ironically Mid-Summers Day is about three days into Summer, similar for Mid-Winters Day) and Autumn (We Brits don't say Fall, ever) and Spring start a few days before the Equinoxs.

It's all supposed to be progress, not sure HOW it's progress, but that's another story (I think).

Here the start of the seasons has always been the equinoxes (21/22), until the the Met. Office dumbed it down to the start of the month (March, June, Sept, December)

In Sweden, the meteorology office traditionally announces when Winter arrives. When the 24 hour average temperature drops below freezing for a few days straight, Autumn is officially over. The timing and duration of Winter is very different for the southern and northern parts of our tall and skinny country, but we do get Winter all over Sweden eventually.

I'm wondering where Autumn went this year. Where I'm living it went from summer to winter. It didn't even try to ease us in with fall.

We're still hard at work on the forum overhaul, in fact we posted some screenshots of the new visuals and structure earlier in the autumn. We don't have an ETA for launch yet, but we'll announce one in that thread when it's locked in.

Really looking forward to the updates.

BTW, here in Southern CA, it is hard to tell what season it is. It's either bright and sunny, or a couple days of rain. We tell what season it is by what holiday items are on display at the stores.

Makes more sense than what we have in Britain.

If it was something sensible like the temperature/weather most brits could get behind it, instead it's tied to the calender.
