What about when you suddenly decide you want to have all the traits after all because they've made it worth it? Though I can't see that happening, by my lights even though I'm chasing all 8 it's only worth doing up to 4 Traits because the mixed sets are heaps better in terms of advantage.
I run 3 sets atm but only because there are no two piece Spell Crits.
I did something similar once but I can't blame an add-on, I just hadn't had enough coffee yet. I could not find a way to stop the research on the item I had accidentally started so I had to let it run its course. If someone else found a way I hope they'll share it.
While 6 traits is all you need to craft the best sets for most play styles at this point, I think it's worth going for 8 and 9 after you get all 6 in the hopes that better sets will be coming. So having an accidental 7th isn't the worst thing in the world if you can't stop the research.

no, obviusly becouse i must complete the 6th trait i need at the moment, before waste long time for nothing: i mean i need to craft 6 trait set, so waiting a month for getting the 8 trait now is ridiculus.

What I'm getting at is that the gear being researched is gone and if you didn't intend to research further, it doesn't actually do you any harm to complete it anyway.

actually it harm a lot to have one slot stuck for 12 days, just becouse of mistake, and will be really nice to have the opprtunity to give up, or even pause the researching slot.

It doesn't really have an effect overall, because you would have to research that item for twelve days sooner or later. Yes it can be annoying, but in long run it all works out the same, I know because I've done it a few times.
Just bought the last traits I need to research everything, but once I research on an alt, he can craft it for others to research (god that's going to happen a lot soon, and for 25-30 days a time).
