    I turned shadows off and it seem to fix my problem?

    The devs were actually stuttering as well. I was watching a past stream and they have the same issue. It is obviously the game.

    Same issues here..ugh.. I have disable shadows, doesn't help. Didn't have this issue until the 1.5 patch. I have an extra issue when I stutter, my game eats memory. I go from 2gigs to 2.4, then on the next area of stutters I go from 2.4 to 2.8. At that point I can either log out or crash when I hit another stutter area and there are several. There are two coming from Bal Foyen to Davons Watch so by the time I walk there I have to log out, log back in, do a couple things in the city, log out, log back in, rinse and repeat over and over. Not happy! :(

    I did the same thing. It is actually worse now. I drop like 10-20fps now when it stutters and before it was only 5-10. All of my friends experience the same thing as well. They are mad at me because I made them realize it.

    Haha! Once you notice the stuttering...there is no going back :'(

    Stuttering is indeed both worse (large fps dips) and more common then it was prior to 1.52. I have had to lower settings just in order to make dungeons playable now. :(
    Semi retired from the trading aspects of the game.

    Yup it is sad, I want to play this game smooth. I paid so much for this system to be able to play games smooth and I cant with this game...

    My game is stuttering, too, and I have tried it with the graphics turned down and all my add ons off, but it still happens. Very frustrating trying to run with a group when my character keeps freezing every few seconds.

    Very annoying. Mine seems to happen when I see something pop in on my screen in the distance as well.

    We are sorry you have ran into this issue, please follow the below resolutions and steps to try fix this problem:
    • Closing the Launcher while playing. This has helped in some cases.
    • Making sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
    • Running in a non-windowed fullscreen mode.
    • Disable or uninstall any add-ons.
    • Delete you usersettings.txt file in Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live or Liveeu
      → Check the "usersettings.txt"' file: Access the folder for The Elder Scrolls Online on your Documents (by default it should be C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\My Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live) and open the file "usersettings.txt" with the notepad (or your word editor of choice).
      → Once open find the lines stating "RequestedNumJobThreads" and "RequestedNumWorkerThreads" (you can do this by pressing the keys "Ctrl" and "F")
      → Change them as below:
      • SETRequestedNumJobThreads "-1"
      • SETRequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1"
        To:
      • SETRequestedNumJobThreads "-1"
      • SETRequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"
      If that doen't work, try setting both to "0", changing it to a above should give more performance, so is preferable.
    • Add the game to high priority: Open your task manager while the game is running and locate the process running named "Eso.exe". Right click on that process and set priority to "High" (please note that changing this while having other programs running might cause them to perform slower).
    • You can also check the power management to see if you are running your machine in eco mode. This will usually affect laptops.

    Have tried all of this stuff multiple times. ZOS needs to add this to their list of problems to fix. I am not the only one experiencing this obviously. @ZOS_LenaicR‌

    @TGiordano92, have you tried lowering your particles settings (system and distance?

    Yes, I changed every setting a few times, made everything at minimum once and still had same issue. I have a tech support email me back and forth a few days and tried all of his steps as well.

    Also, this is not just on one computer at one house. It is my desktop, my gaming laptop, and I tried my laptop and my friends desktop at his house with same issue. @ZOS_L

    Indeed, it seems like you had quite a long discussion with our agents and specialists, I just finished to read all of that carefully.

    I haven't seen any try around your antivirus, firewall and Admin settings on the ticket #141031-000532.

    Could you please try these simple steps? Sometimes it can be something easier:
    • Restart your computer;
    • Turn off your antivirus and your firewall;
    • Go in your ESO folder and right click on the .exe, compatibility, run as administrator, click OK;
    • Run ESO and test.

    Otherwise, your ticket was closed, we've reopened it so we can continue the steps in order to solve your issue.
    Thank you very much for your patience @TGiordano92!

    Just tried that again and no luck. I should mention that the stuttering is about 3 times worse after the latest patch. @ZOS_LenaicR‌

    Also in other games I get no FPS drop/stutter, like WoW and FFXIV. SO it is only this game.

    So a different CS person responds to my ticket today and says, "Oh we made a mistake. We don't have any reports of memory leaks" but did not address the stutters except for the usual "it is YOUR system". Then they proceed to roll off a ton of things to do like allow through virus software, etc all I have already done. I replied and asked if anyone had taken the time to review my screen shots. I can show them so many spots in this game where as soon as you enter this area, you get the four one second stutters. I can replicate it without fail every single time. This started after the 1.5 update so someone needs to please get past the "it must be your connection" and seriously look at your code for these areas. I had a friend using another internet provider, in another city go to these points. They had the same issues I have so how can it be my system, my internet provider, my virus software, etc. ? Not trying to be nasty here but I am so tired of jumping through the same hoops every single time and it isn't my system. If I submit a /bug report at every single location this happens, I will get banned for spamming the help system so please someone look at my ticket and the two examples I sent you.

    I'm not sure if I'm having the same issue or not. I'm getting regular stuttering (massive FPS drop) for about half a second giving the impression that the graphics card is struggling. I have an nvidea Geforce 760 GPU and a 2.6ghz Intel i5 cpu which should be up to the task.

    It's notably a post 1.5 issue but I've also recently updates the nvidea graphics drivers.

    I think what we have to blame is the particule's slidders implemented by 1.4.

    I have a pretty decent PC: Geforce 770 GTX, 16 GB RAM, i7... and have had this weird stuttering exactly since 1.4.

    I usually play in ultra settings, even in AvA many often, and never had any issue before that.

    Eventually, lowering the particule's slidders seems to do something to the better. A pity, indeed, with a good machine, but it works quite well for me.

    I got mine traced back to an updater service (Adobe) that I did not update when it wanted me to. Set it to manual and all is good now. Just something to check.

    Mine happens at every single transition area without fail. Depending on where I am it can happen every 10 seconds, where the transition areas are or every few minutes. Depends on where I am in the game, in a city or out in the wild.

    Mine is almost identical to yours, when I am out in the middle of nowhere in cyrodil I get a steady 100fps with a few 3-5fps drops but when I get into a more dense area per se I get more sever FPS drops ranging from 10-30.

    Yeah I was hoping they would fix the issue, but I just logged in and went to known places it happens and sadly it's still there. :(
