Would you like to see player housing/guild halls implemented?

I have participated in two recent discussions on the discussion board that deal with the idea of player housing and/or guild housing. I think these ideas are amazing and I don't want to see these discussions die so I'm going to start this poll.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying they implement player housing too soon... we all know there are plenty of kinks with the current game that need to be worked out first, but maybe in the next year or so I would love to see it come in to effect.

Yes, I think guild halls would add a lot to the guild aspect of the game but player housing is a no.

I would think that given a year of time to test and create this, they could do it... this "within a year" was assuming that they worked out the bugs and completed the content in time

Partial to wanting player housing over guild halls, but I'm okay with both as long as it doesn't clog up the map.

I agree full heartedly. If you read the two discussion posts I mentioned... namely "Player Housing vs Guild Cities" and "Player Housing Suggestions" you can see the ideas that we have on how to avoid map clutter... main point is that the two types, guild halls and player housing, would be instanced to your character/guild

There's no option for how I feel about player housing. I am one that really likes owning my own piece of the game, and stacking trophies of my accomplishments inside. On the other hand, if houses are either useful or somewhere that people prefer to hang out, cities will feel empty and that's not something I want to see. I do like going to cities and seeing people running all over the place crafting, questing, etc.

After 5 years of development and 4 content pushes with countless hotfixes they couldn't even push a small patch without borking it. After 10 years of development 5 expansions and almost 12 million players at its largest Blizzard still couldn't get an expansion out right. Never underestimate how bad things can get. I rather they start working on it now and release it in 2 years.

Obviously yes but the earliest we've ever seen it on tentative timelines were year and a half after release, but by those standards we should have also had criminal justice system by now.

Even the poor old WoW has housing spanning across multiple game features.. with added facebook game on top... well thats blizzard

I put my faith in ZOS to deliver it in style, without childish blizzard crap, yet still with multiple functionalities. If they follow the tradition of Elder Scrolls, there will be many options. You can start of with private room in Harborage. Small quarters in guilds when you max out their rep/quest lines ... and from there move to own manors and guild structures.

When? Well now im getting to the point of this thread... when the real important systems are in place. It would be cool, but now before spellcrafting

Yes, I think that Player housing sounds awesome but we should not have guild halls
I don't really see the point of a guild hall when people are in 5 guilds, somehow it doesn't seem to convey the same kind of purpose as in single-guild MMOs where you have a sense of community and single purpose within the guild.

Then again, I'm against guild halls anyway as they tend to turn what should be the main hubs of the game into deserted ghettos as everyone stays in their instanced guild hall to do their crafting and trading etc giving newcomers in particular the feeling that no-one is playing the game.

Player housing is fine provided it doesn't offer the facility to do crafting and trading etc with the result that even more people spend all their time in private instances!

I am one of those who DO want guild cities but I also think it's important that they be implemented in such as way as to NOT kill "town life." So no crafting stations or banks. What they should have are special guild merchants that primarily sell fun fluff, an arena where guild members can actually fight each other in order to test builds and learn PvP strats against various classes and other builds, a library that can be added to until it finally has ALL the books in Tamriel and a lot of fun RP stuff that will help bring guilds together.

As far as buggy games go, ESO is actually a pretty solid game.

Exactly what I'm thinking, people say it will "kill life outside of these areas" but what I'm talking about implementing would not allow any crafting stations, banks, or things like that. Yes, I do think you should be allowed to store stuff in a chests or something in your house, but they should be pretty expensive so that banking is the cheaper alternative, thus keeping them alive as well

I honestly don't care, but would vote yes just so people will quit asking for it lol. Problem is: it's not going to be good enough, whatever they do. So all the threads asking for it constantly, will change to complaining about them. I hope everyone knows that 1. It's going to be there to be a money sink and that's probably it, so don't complain about the price of stuff just like they do about the bank upgrades and 2. it's not going to be bank space #2 - you probably aren't going to see a place to store more pack rat stuff - at most maybe a place to put up trophies.

I understand it probably won't happen... but it would be so nice!! They give you EXTREMELY limited inventory and bank space while giving you thousands of items that you find on your adventures, I want to be a hoarder again!!

Of course I want these options to be done correctly with a minimal amount of bugs, but I do want housing to be bumped a little in terms of priority. Just a little...

I don't care if its a time sink, gold sink, mat sink.....I just want something I can customize and chill out in. That being said, I will be harsh critic if the amount of options is not even adequate to support the various cultures shown in game. If your going to do housing, by akatosh they should do it properly! We're talking cultural style, position and perhaps even size of furniture!

Player housing first as it will be for everyone and not just those in guilds. Once done guild housing could be a reasonable follow up.

SWG and Ultima had amazing housing, especially SWG with the cities but I don't think the Devs would add something so complex to ESO. It must take years to code this, I mean we had space ports there - so we could have harbors at Tamriel ... probably just a dream.

No, I think these are bad ideas and would ruin the game
I'm not usually one to do this.. but HOLY EPH..

PETA just called, they're investigating this thread for animal abuse. Reports are that dead horses are being repeatedly beaten.

Seriously, this has been a topic on the forums since before the game launched. This topic has been asked, answered, and buried so many times that even Goku (Dragonball) is getting jealous.

It's been answered here, on reddit, in interviews and numerous other places. Discussion of what kind of player housing we should have, maybe. But whether ZOS should implement housing or not, that's done.

I'm being an a-hole here I know and don't even care. This whole topic is redundant. For 8 months I've just left it alone, hoping once it was answered people would drop it, but no. For some reason people insist on digging it back up.

Even necromancers would be jealous of how many times this has been brought back.

So... stop.. please for eph sake let it die. ZOS said yes, they want to do housing, no they don't presently have a time frame. Coming soon™ Along with all the other content.
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

Ok bro... not everyone on these forums has played since launch. I just joined about a month and a half ago and don't regularly keep up with interviews and other stuff from ZOS. Sorry for wanting player housing and, because I'm new, not knowing what they have said on this topic. How about you calm down and just ignore the posts?? No one said you have to read them...
