I would think that given a year of time to test and create this, they could do it... this "within a year" was assuming that they worked out the bugs and completed the content in time

After 5 years of development and 4 content pushes with countless hotfixes they couldn't even push a small patch without borking it. After 10 years of development 5 expansions and almost 12 million players at its largest Blizzard still couldn't get an expansion out right. Never underestimate how bad things can get. I rather they start working on it now and release it in 2 years.
I don't really see the point of a guild hall when people are in 5 guilds, somehow it doesn't seem to convey the same kind of purpose as in single-guild MMOs where you have a sense of community and single purpose within the guild.
Then again, I'm against guild halls anyway as they tend to turn what should be the main hubs of the game into deserted ghettos as everyone stays in their instanced guild hall to do their crafting and trading etc giving newcomers in particular the feeling that no-one is playing the game.

I am one of those who DO want guild cities but I also think it's important that they be implemented in such as way as to NOT kill "town life." So no crafting stations or banks. What they should have are special guild merchants that primarily sell fun fluff, an arena where guild members can actually fight each other in order to test builds and learn PvP strats against various classes and other builds, a library that can be added to until it finally has ALL the books in Tamriel and a lot of fun RP stuff that will help bring guilds together.
Id like it to be on ZOS'S terms though, Not beholden to any deadline they set for fans. ESO housing could be awesome, and I'd like them to take as much time as they need.
Couple months ago or so they said already that housing may be coming in maybe 2 years.
I honestly don't care, but would vote yes just so people will quit asking for it lol. Problem is: it's not going to be good enough, whatever they do. So all the threads asking for it constantly, will change to complaining about them. I hope everyone knows that 1. It's going to be there to be a money sink and that's probably it, so don't complain about the price of stuff just like they do about the bank upgrades and 2. it's not going to be bank space #2 - you probably aren't going to see a place to store more pack rat stuff - at most maybe a place to put up trophies.
I'm not usually one to do this.. but HOLY EPH..
PETA just called, they're investigating this thread for animal abuse. Reports are that dead horses are being repeatedly beaten.
Seriously, this has been a topic on the forums since before the game launched. This topic has been asked, answered, and buried so many times that even Goku (Dragonball) is getting jealous.
It's been answered here, on reddit, in interviews and numerous other places. Discussion of what kind of player housing we should have, maybe. But whether ZOS should implement housing or not, that's done.
I'm being an a-hole here I know and don't even care. This whole topic is redundant. For 8 months I've just left it alone, hoping once it was answered people would drop it, but no. For some reason people insist on digging it back up.
Even necromancers would be jealous of how many times this has been brought back.
So... stop.. please for eph sake let it die. ZOS said yes, they want to do housing, no they don't presently have a time frame. Coming soon™ Along with all the other content.
