This is why your daily system is garbage compared to tokens and a vendor

I saw it in GW2 and it litteraly sucks. RNG give some emotion and realism, some "maybe today is the day I get the awesome stuff we all want to have" feeling that is so much funnier than just collect tokens.

If people think the reward no worth the time invested, simple, dont do dailies. Dailies are not a work, dailies are not an obligation, they are here for fun and challenge...

Oh so mamy things wrong with this.

    1) I dont even played WoW and I do hate the token systems. I saw it in GW2 and it litteraly sucks

    - GW2 is totally RNG based and is feee to play. Its a free to play gimmick. You admit to never being exposed to a proper gearing and progression system, yet dismiss it. ESO wishes it could make a 10th of what wow does on a bad non xpac year.

    2) RNG give some emotion and realism

    - what? No really what? How the heck is RNG realism is anyway. When was the last time you walked into a store and said I need a shirt here is $20 mr clerk, please RNG it up. When was the last Zelda ( or pick an RPG) when you walked up the shopkeep and gave him 25,000 rubles for random junk?

    3) If people think the reward no worth the time invested, simple, dont do dailies.

    - If people do not think the dalies are worth thier time they will not only not do them they will just unsub. That is the entire point of dalies it to keep logging in.

Except when the RNG is in the dungeon itself. If you scale them up to your level you can get a drop you want. The tokens are a means of compensation if your RNG sucks. It's not complicated to understand since I have no desire to be forced to level medium armor simply because I rolled a Templar and there's some strange madness going on with the Undaunted passives and the sets that the Undaunted pledges are yielding.

Forget all this focus on the VR3 level of the gear and such. The OP is talking about random rewards and GRINDING.

If the end game becomes more and more of a grind, fun factor diminishes quickly. If we have to run AA 200 times to get 5 pieces of gear that we want, or dailies, or whatever, that's a grind. If more content came in story line, questing, PvPing, etc, anything other than grinding, you add fun rather than take from it.

The token system is a good idea. Or some hybrid of random reward and choice, like here is a light, medium, and heavy piece of armor, pick one.

This underwhelming and random reward stuff, for the time you have to put in, is a bit out of balance IMO and as expressed by many. The idea of dailies is ok, just missing the mark.

PS it's kind of interesting that you can choose rewards in Cyrodil... eh?

Seriously, that is good, except the trait and I would swap the enchant. Everyone is in PVP running skirts and the heavy armor passive or run a blocking S&B caster build that pops defensive stance or Heavy armor passive. Weaving in LA or partial heavy attacks and your LA weave DPS just increased by 56-85 points before crit and at soft capped everything that's huge nondiminished return at VR14. I have points in Stamina for that extra dodge, I can respect and put it somewhere else or swap the type of food I am using. Put a few point from health into Magicka to make up the set difference.
    Some people should know:
    A.) how weaving works
B.) caught the joke that ZOS made by naming the set that.
C.) Realize this was a set that upped your before-crit DPS and paid for itself in stamina cost.
D.) This skill is worth about a 8%-10% Spell crit on most D.Staff builds with weaving.

Again trait is terrible but really only Impenetrable and infused are decent. Remember boys and girls, every 8th - 9th weave throw a stamina shot in, especially in PVP pop your Heavy!

Does this set have rings, weapons, or amulets?

Edit: Apologies... It already has 4% spell crit on it at 4 pieces, so set give about the equivalent of12-14% critical worth of DPS and impenetrable can't touch most of the boost.

No offense OP, but you don't seem to be very experienced.

For starters puns @ Bow users is a bit silly. While you say it's gimped, I know several Bow users which do some great DPS regardless of any changes.

Also, that set and all sets are worthless to someone. There are hybrid builds which would probably turn your world upside down but it takes a bit more seasoning in order to pull off a successful hybrid build.

However with the way things are going, I'd say they are the "future" in this game if things continue on the current path --- which can be a good thing for players looking to create deeper builds.

Magicka stuff on light armor, Stamina stuff on medium armor..

Hello... people don't want to go Hybrid and be gimped...

There are dozens of Light armor sets with Magicka boosts and there are dozens of Medium armor sets with Stamina boosts on them... how awful that they added a couple of hybrid sets that will make hybrid builds stronger... how awful that cheese builds will show up just a little bit less... how awful that they add diversity to the sets rather than making more copy-paste-rearrange-two-bonuses-hooray-new-set sets.

Because encouraging that without addressing armor passives just encourages people to play stupidly.

A hybrid system would be the best way because lets face it, random does not mean fair. Random means some people will get their items within days and others will need weeks or months of constant time investment. So why not have random loot AND tokens so that if the RNG screws you over you can get the item which never drops from a vendor.

75 dungeons in. (farming helms) - 1 terrible worthless helm so far.
    12 Gold Keys - 0 shoulders.
yes I am doing the right dungeons to get the helms..

    This is so fun....

At least allow us to grind out tokens to buy a item... at this point I wont even get the new gear before the next update when even more gear comes in...

Would love to have a token system..

I do daily vet dungeons purely for a chance at the named undaunted shoulders and the undaunted skill line exp (still waiting for the retroactive fix ZeniMax, get on that). The new sets are indeed relatively lacklustre and useless currently due to the lack of synergy between Stamina and Magicka builds.. Hopefully spellcrafting and some sort of Stamina crafting system might fix this in the long run, but don't hold your breath. I'm more frustrated over the fact that I can farm helmets at a whim if I wanted but have to do daily pledges for a chance at some random purple equipment which in turn has a slim chance of being the epaulettes I actually need / want. That being said I find most of these new undaunted monster sets to be relatively useless.. I feel they need a buff of sorts to be practical.

If people want RNG, then kill those sets and put Unassailable, Warlock, Soulshine, and the other sets as drops from the chests at up to VR14 blues and be done with it.

The Undaunted sets make no sense in their current implementation.

Or just put rings and necks in there with specific 3 piece bonuses.
