Regardless of any XP gain problems I'd read about I carried on questing on a couple of my characters. I didn't find the XP progression much different to normal (I have a VR14 and a few more on the way there), the excitement grew as one VR4 character got closer to another level. 500,000 XP away, 250,000 XP away, 100k, 36k, 10K.....this is the quest, I thought, this is going to push me over and onto VR5. Nice new crafted gear and weapons all enchanted up ready to go........."Veteran Rank Up".....Yyyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhh", time for me to put on my new gear and get to that dye station....oh, I'm still VR4.....downer.
Hover my mouse pointer over my experience bar and the tool tip says 1,453,955/1,432,550 XP (20,000 XP over).
So, what happened? Anyone else had this problem?

We're currently tracking the issue in this thread. There are some more detailed responses in there, but the super short tl;dr version is- You're still gaining experience
- After the update tomorrow, when you gain 1 experience point you will level up properly and receive your skill/attribute points.
- We're lowering the experience to reach a veteran rank to one million exp.
