When it comes to DPS, healing, and tanking everything. Whats the best right now? I just resubbed to the game. I was just curious on since I last played what has changed.

This seems very close to my impression of PVP balance currently. Sorc is lagging behind in PVP, anything other than Sorc has at least one strong niche in PVP. Right now in pvp sorcs are good at 1.) dropping absorption field 2.) annoying people with streak 3.) spamming crushing shock endlessly.
Roll anything but a sorc atm.

*clears throat* Pardon me, allow me to clear this up.
From my personal experience of running trials, PvP, PvE, Vet Dungeons, Delves, and many other things, I have found this to be true:
1) Best In Class - Stamina DPS = Nightblades. Doesn't matter the weapons.
First Runner Up - Dragon Knights
Second Runner Up - Templars, but surprisingly by not much. Stamina Builds offer a lot in the way of doing decent damage and not having to solely rely on class skills, but Templars have a definite edge over Sorcs int his area and aren't terribly far behind DKs and NBs.
2) Best In Class - Tanks PvE - TIE! Nightblades and Dragon Knights equally make excellent tanks that can both survive, damage nicely, and hold threat properly.
First Runner Up - Very, very close to the first place are Templars, who can technically survive better, are not as good at damaging things while tanking at the same time as the two above classes.
Second Runner Up - Sorcs. Yea, ok.
3) Best In Class - Healers PvE - Templars. Seriously, gtfo, Templars. Too much burst power and utility to not be taken seriously for best in class.
First Runner Up - Nightblades. All that siphoning stuff man, it's like a Darkcasting Healer.
Second Runner Up - Sorcs. High Spell crit and excellent magicka management makes for a pretty decent healer in place of a NB or Templar.
4) Best In Class - Caster DPS - DragonKnight and Sorc TIE! I say this because of the extreme symmetry between DKs and Fire Staffs and Sorcs with Lightning Staffs, however I inclined to give it more towards the DK for caster DPS due to most enemies these days having a dire hatred for fire based ***.
First Runner Up - Nightblades. And only barely as well, for those DoTs....So many DoTs that can be used with their class skills, and they actually kind of work well from what I hear.
5) Best In Class Tanks PvP - Dragonknights! Holy hell, when a single DK can fight four to seven other players and win, I think we all know who's best at the lolIcan'tdie! game.
First Runner Up - Templars, for that Blazing Shield and self heal capability.
Second Runner Up - Sorcs? Maybe? Bolt Streak? Meh.
6) Best In Class - Healers PvP - Templars again! Guess WHY!
First Runner Up - Hard to choose really. I want to say Sorcs from high spell crit and Negate, but Nightblades are kinda cool too because as they heal you, they can spot an enemy near death and pop a quick Impale and be done with it and continue healing you.
Second Runner Up - DKs. No, no healing for you, go away.
7) Token Round! Best In Class - Melee Based Magicka Buuld - Dragonknight and Templar TIE! Templars can easily stack nothing but LA and a Staff (preferably resto) and line up their DoTs from either the Mages Guild or Dawns Wrath, then spam it up with Biting Jabs. Dragonknights on the other hand, from what I've seen, shocked me as I saw a DK in full Heavy Armor but fully speced for Magicka used a 2H and punched out 1k DPS in Vet CoH. I'm going to ask this guy how he did later on when I get a chance, but yea, obviously, holy hell dude wtf.
First Runner Up - Sorc - Obvious reasons here, Overload baby! Also, the two builds previously seen on Battlemaster's Corner work pretty damn well for making sure things don't get back up ever again.
Second Runner Up - Poor Nightblades, can't do Magicka melee too well at all.

I will rephrase before the flame begins, give Sorcs an Alternative to Crushing Shock or Pulsar for direct damage. Or even something that synergizes with our other rarely used skills.2 -

✭The best Vet dungeon runs means having one of each class so you have the right ultimate for the right bosses. For example, Null Magic is now required on some bosses and Solar Prison on others.
My preferred group is DK tank, Templar Healer and a Sorc and NB dps.
The normal Vet group I run with is like this, but we take turns swapping roles to keep things fun. We all have a tank, healer and DPS build. (but having the sorc tank and DK heal did not work so well)
As for Crushing Shock or Pulsar for direct damage, that's not just a Sorc issue, its the only good dps for Templar too.Edited by Natjur on November 11, 2014 1:08AM0 -

yes. you can get an adamantium magic stick, block and spam crushing shock, and be better in melee combat than the weapons actualy MADE for melee combat.

Agree with most of the stuff on this list, but nb with the block casting-sap essence-VoB combo... definitely not last

Recently in PVP FotM is Bows so no, it doesn't really help much right now... but, in a couple months when the next shiny build comes out I'm sure it will be... provided the next build isn't based on bow(unlikely as it already is FotM) or melee for main damage then it will be best skill again.0 -
