Well its like this, I came to the game with my best friend (ie:hubby). We are casual players in that min/max is not our be all, end all of the game. Dungeons are fun, but its no great loss if we don't complete all the top tier "hardest" ones., and we haven't got to trials yet.

Me personally, my previous MMO experience came from an extremely helpful and patient guild (in LOTRO) and I hope to extend that to those I play with. I'm okay with wiping 50x if someone in the group is learning something from the experience that helps them in the future.

I guess in short, I'm just about having fun and avoiding the stress and challenges of real life :D If that makes any sense.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Aww. I'm getting close to v12. When I get there, I'm going to go back and do all the public dungeon group bosses, and get achievements, and pvp to my hearts content, and maybe adopt a rat in riften, and any other of the loads of things to do in this game. V12 does not mean the end of the game, it simply means you are at your current peak of power for the time being.

Awwww! how do you adopt a rat?? Inquiring minds would like to know! ;)

None of them, not a 1... started with 5 friends. now its just me... barely. This nerf to Vet XP is probably it for me. I'm giving them some time to hotfix 1.5 but not holding my breath.

In every game there are content inhalers who rush through what is there, or zoom to max level because that is where they think the game is. They quickly burn out of the game and move on. Good riddance I say.

Now what we have are the folks who play the game to enjoy the game. They get to where they get when they get there (Explorers and Questers). Or, they have already arrived at where they want to be and are happy with it (Trials and PvP)

I also see lots of new players, not just low leveled alts in the leveling zones. If you want to keep them around, be nice to them in chat, lend them a hand in learning the ropes and offer to help out with a Dolmen or dungeon if they ask. Take 5 minutes in chat explaining how things work so they understand.

Show them that the people who play this game are worth playing the game with and we won't have any population issues.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    A question I asked a guildy.

    "no"
    "why not"
"Got to v12 did trials, nothing left to do, quit game."

    Strangely reminiscent of GW2 dialogues.

Unfortunately it's to late to nerf xp across the board like they should have before release without losing their current casual's. A disturbing trend in themepark mmos.

I miss my friend Xabriana fiercely. I am very sad that she is not around.

She was a good Sorc. Sometimes, she got left out of raids because reasons - but I left for 2.5 months and came back and she is never on any more :(

2 of my 5 friends got to VR1-3ish, maybe. the others did not.'

    It was not "content inhaling"....

2 of my friends left after beating the main story and not being interested in veteran ranks. 1 other left long before finishing the main story, probably due to lack of funds but I never asked.

Of the four guilds I'm in, 1 is a trade guild, but I'm just about the last man standing in the other 3, and I have bank access in two of them...okay I guess that part isn't too bad.
