OP is right, there is a tanking issue. Aggro isn't lasting the proper length of time and sometimes doesn't apply on the first try. Happens with either taunt. Several other players have talked about it in the forums as well and I thought it was a 'known issue' that ZoS was looking at.

Edit: No, I was mistaken, it's not in the 'known issues' thread. Though I have seen a few posts in the forums over the last week with similar complaints.

I had some trouble with taunts *sometimes* working in Vet Spindleclutch.

My keyboard is fine. It works well with all my other games, so I don't think that's the problem. I've also tanked it successfully several times in the past without any problem, so I have to consider the possibility that there is a problem with the taunts.

I have attracted aggro from boss monsters that should have been directed at the tank by standing still. I have also been the first target of aggro, as a healer mind you, and the tank was unable to taunt aggro away from me. (He gets it after I die, of course.)

I'm not terribly keen on the tank side of things, but I've been slapped around enough by taunted bosses to notice some problems.

Taunt was broken this patch. They intended to change the "bug" to stoneskin but instead changed the way stoneskin is applied, making it more difficult to re-taunt adds before taunt durations explire. There was no mention of this as an intended change, so it's most likely a bug or mistake.

Our servers are still offline for maintenance. I didn't see any mention in the patch notes, but I'll try to test it out when servers come back up to see just in case.

What I have noticed was the taunt falls off a target if you get a knockback done to you. The taunt can just fall off when you roll 50% of the time. When you reapply the taunt it does not reset the timer about 50% of the time. So, either you count or have addon for the timer before reapplying taunt. Suggestion trying to hit taunt 2 times to apply it and try to not get a knock back done to you. I just feel like I am pretty much hitting taunt every 6 to 10 seconds to keep it up. It still falls off 10% of the time.

Since realease I have noticed some issues with taunting but not really that bad so i ignored it.

Today I was tanking vet DC,and dude that freaking netch boss just suddenly go to another player and i literally used all my magika and stam(I use both taunts,have 1 in 1 bar and the other in the other bar) spamming taunts on the boss and he just ignored me.In one try averything was fine until I died,a player quickly rezed me so I proceed to taunt the boss,nothing,like I just didnt exist.

There is definetively something wrong with taunts and can be noticed more in update 5 than before.The problem is there is not many tanks compared to other roles to advocate for us.This brings frustration to the tank players because people think that we are doing a bad job with taunting when really we are not.

Zenimax,please aknowledge this issue and fix it.At least acepting that there is an issue with taunts will help us defend ourselves when ppl think we are doing bad at taunting but the important thing is to fix it.I am a pasionate tank,my main in all the many MMOs i have played is a tank and the MMOs that normally dont have a solid tank mechanics I avoid them.So please ZOS,Its abvious that there is a taunting issue.Fix it please.

Not the stealth issues, the taunt issues (don't think I saw anything about taunting in patch notes).

Sorry my bad, I'm jonesing like a heroin addict right now, so reading comprehension is not all there. But like I said we won't know yet since the server is still down.
