I guess uncommon if you play the game as intended and not farming for ours. Some people have jobs and families, which means very little time to play. So farming isn't their priorities
I don't think you *have* to relog. You could just move on to another Ruin.

I don't really mind the drop rate for the chapters, I guess. It's farmable while still being rare... but it's so boring. There's no real gameplay to it, just open jars and hope. So many other ways it could've been done.
And the drop rate on Dwemer Scrap seems absolutely atrocious. It doesn't help that I currently have to place to even reasonably farm it, as a V4 DC character. The DC ruins are all too low-level, AD's functionally ruin-less, and EP isn't unlocked yet. There's a ruin in Craglorn, but very little of it is accessible to me, and in all my visits the Dwemer Spiders there never dropped anything.

Ya the price doesn't mach the drop rate. They drop more often that one of the blues. So the price should be about 200g
It's ok. You are going to have some players that want to rush and get it (like me, got them all second day after patch) and some that are fine with just buying or waiting for random drops.
Choosing existing dwemer ruins as the only place these drop was a really poor design decision. It's stuff like this that makes me think zero thought was put into it. An entire faction (AD) without access to them.
I don't see the problem.

This right here is what gets me. Sorry AD, you don't get to have them. Whats with that? How can you leave out an entire faction?
They should have done this from release. I'm sure we will see the Ayleid motif released this way.
They're on timers. Simply relogging won't reset them.AssaultLemming wrote: »It is absolutely terrible design that you can relog to reset containers. Interesting. Haven't heard anybody else be able to do that. I have three AD vet characters and they have all been on timers but at least its per character and not account wide.lordspyder wrote: »They're on timers. relogging does reset them, I've been running inner sea armature all day. But I like the farmability of them, it gives me something to work for
I thought I would ask what others think of this new tactic of attaining the newest motif style as I have slowly been doing so myself. I have gotten five chapters so far but it has been quite a grueling process of checking all the containers in the Dwemer ruins and trying not to interfere with other players that are farming for the style pieces. At first I thought that all the farming was odd until I realize it took ten dwemer scrap to make one of the styles. I was frustrated too at the many hours of container searching just to get a chapter of the new style. I checked as many of the dwemer ruins as I could find and found that some of them being ruins still had almost no containers at all. The best I found was Avanchnzel in the Rift as every time I ran through it I acquired one chapter. The one draw back, beside the over abundance of other players, was the extremely long refresh time on the containers. I know that getting all the chapters for this new style is supposed to be a drawn out process, but it seems to me that the limited area in which to acquire these items to be ridiculous and would have better served the community if a continent sized dwemer area were available. The fact that it takes ten dwemer scrap to make one dwemer frame is kinda harsh considering all the time I spent looking through containers and killing all the automations I encountered yielded only three frames. These are just a few of my thoughts and I would like to hear what other people think about this new distribution style good or bad. Maybe some good feedback could help with future motif additions. Please feel free to post your opinions as the ESO designers cannot read our minds, no matter how much they would like to.
Ahh, good to know. I just tested to see if maybe it was that delv itself but no difference for me in vet zone at least.lordspyder wrote: »Inner Sea Armature is lvl 5 for EP so I'm just starting a new character to do it
