Heavy Armor: Still Pretty Crappy?

Just wondering what the consensus is on Heavy Armor now. I tried it at launch but eventually, after months of frustration and no fixes on the horizon, I switched to light and did not look back. The buffs to medium seem to have made it considerably better, but I'm afraid personally I can't say the same about the very few things ZOS has changed about heavy armor lately.

So, I'm just wondering: what do you think of Heavy Armor? And is there any word on whether ZOS now considers it 'fixed' now?
Templars are 'just slower... by design'
Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:

I think they are still finishing with medium before focusing on heavy. I also use full heavy and have the best survivibility of any group I ever get in. Which is what it's used for.

If you're using heavy, with very few exceptions, you should be using a shield too. Blocking is a major part of any heavy build.
