Removing FCs is a good change wether people like it or not.

However, it isn't pissing off a "large majority" of players.
I've seen two polls regarding this issue, one had 68% happy, the other 53%.
Those kind of polls are usualy biased towards the unhappy people, as happy people don't come on forums, so this says a lot about how popular this change has been.

But again, polls are irelevant to game design. It's engineering, not democracy.

Really? They removed camps huh? Is that why guilds stocked up on them? Is it now? Huh? l2 observe.

I don't think people stocked up on camps, I mean at least in NA we had no idea camps were going away. Most people ran with a couple camps all the time anyways because pugs had the nasty habit of not replacing them, I know I used to run with at least 10 half the time. It's not like DC is not using them also, you seem a little too mad about it. In a couple days/weeks camps will be a thing of the past.

NA did not have any notice of it, but due to patching schedule we in EU had one day to stock up, which many did. You'll hear/read rumours that our guild alone has 3k camps, but I think it's more around the lines of 3k camps across all AD. So far our guild hardly used any, maybe a couple here/there, same as if ye hadn't had stocked up and just remaining from prior to patch (at least that I know of when I was around).

    L2notbeadick.
    Especialy when you're wrong.

They effectively removed them on NA, and EU is just a matter of time until the global stock empties.

They engineered a great split testing situation to observe two changes at the same time.

But once none are in the game, fcs will be gone until an eventual change.

Lol. They will be the first item released in the cash shop. Right after console release turns the game to buy to play.

Out of curiosity, what is the rate of camp deployment now in NA? In EU it's been greatly diminished but we still see 1-2 camps per siege, as opposed to 9-10 that we'd see before.

That is the problem on the forums. The forums are filled with people who only come and post things when they are mad. And what is worse ZOS listens to the crying.

Might see one camp every hour or so. They are extremely rare occurrences, and usually only used as a last resort (such as vital scroll defense or a clutch save at Faregyl). AD is gonna have to learn to not rely on that though, but for now thats really all I ever see them used for.

I still have 14 on my AD toons combined, but havent used a single one since patch, nor do I intend to any time soon.

DC side, once every 2-3 hours

not sure about our enemies, but for damn sure they dropped atleast 10 camps last night to save arrius which was funny considering we were there to waste those camps. lol

    thats not the point though

the camps wont run out for a very very very long time

    and they still cause lag.

i'v seen AD drop 5+ camps at once resource to bring 100+ AD to siege a keep that is not that important *ash* and lag the server like crazy

now dont get me wrong, i like fighting those crazy numbers, as long as the server dont start lagging like a ***

Camps don't cause lag. Loads of players in one area do.

I'm seeing more concentration now, than I did before the camp "ban".

Before you would take your team somewhere else put down a tent and pull people away from the inner-circle keeps. You would ride up to glademist (as AD) put a camp and set up siege and draw numbers away from that clusterfack at roebeck for example.

Now that doesn't happen and everyone stays there. When they die, the ride back and in 2 mins they're fighting again. Whereas before you'd go fight somewhere else for 30 mins.

I dunno. It doesn't seem to work from what I'm seeing. Same lag, same crashes so far. Just a bit more travel and all the action is just in the front-line.

I agree they should really remove all camps from the game and give back the AP value.

Considering the patch notes went out before the EU servers went down we saw people buy stacks of camps to use, there are even rumours of SWAT owning 3,000 camps (where did you guys store them all?).
